Jakarta – A hoax is circulating that a number of groups will storm Jakarta, which is feared to disrupt conditions that have returned to safety and conducive.

Security forces and community leaders have also emphasized that the national situation is now under control. Deputy Chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Imam Sugianto, emphasized that security conditions throughout the region are under the control of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

“God willing, everything will be conducive,” said Imam at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (4/9/2025).

He added that the police had seriously anticipated the potential for provocation during the demonstration.

“It’s now under the management of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri). We are united,” he stressed.

The Cyber ​​Crime Directorate (Dittipidsiber) of the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) also revealed important facts regarding the rise in provocations. Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji, Director of Cyber ​​Crimes at Bareskrim, explained that his team has named a suspect for the owner of a social media account actively spreading provocative and inflammatory content related to the demonstrations.

“To date, 592 accounts and content have been blocked for spreading provocation on social media,” said Himawan.

According to him, the cyber team, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital, continues to analyze the possible connection of these accounts to certain networks.

“Cyber ​​patrols remain intensified to detect new accounts spreading provocation,” he added.

Amidst a conducive situation plagued by provocative issues, the online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver community sent a message of reassurance. URC Bergerak Public Relations Officer, Mpok Erna, stated that her group distributed white and pink roses in the Monas area.

“The white rose symbolizes our refusal to be provoked. We are pure in the sense of peaceful intentions, not negative connotations. Meanwhile, the pink rose represents our peaceful nature. We are motorcycle taxi drivers who earn a living on the highway,” said Erna.

To ensure security, the action committee also implemented a strict mechanism by registering participants.

“Only drivers officially registered with the online motorcycle taxi (ojol) app are permitted to participate in this peaceful demonstration. Therefore, we have pre-registered those participating,” he explained.

Gambir Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Rezeki Revi Respati, appreciated the peaceful steps taken by the motorcycle taxi (ojol) community who chose to reduce tensions with a symbol of unity.

“Thank you to the motorcycle taxi drivers. This is a very positive moment to strengthen unity. Peace is essential,” said Police Commissioner Respati.
