Jakarta,– President Joko Widodo has once again demonstrated his leadership in the economic sector with various significant achievements, particularly in the agricultural sector and infrastructure development.
The award given by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to President Jokowi is real evidence of the success of programs run by the government, especially in the agricultural sector.
According to Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono, this award from FAO was obtained thanks to the government’s efforts to increase agricultural productivity.
“Mr. Jokowi is extraordinary because he is able to implement the agricultural program well. He is the one who keeps the Indonesian economy strong when other countries tend to stagnate, and this is proof of the success of Indonesia’s agricultural program,” said Sudaryono.
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture said that the Agricola Medal from FAO was an appropriate award considering the enormous sacrifices and struggles of the Jokowi-era government.
“This is not an ordinary award, but an extraordinary award because FAO is the world’s food agency. And I think what the president has done for 10 years is extraordinary,” he said.
Furthermore, the intensive infrastructure development carried out during Jokowi’s administration is also the key to Indonesia’s economic success. Prominent philanthropist Dato Sri Tahir said that infrastructure development policies such as toll roads, ports, and airports have accelerated the distribution of goods and services throughout the country, thereby reducing logistics costs and increasing the competitiveness of the national industry.
“Jokowi’s economic grand plan is very clear, namely accelerating development that focuses on connectivity and economic equality,” added Tahir.
Tahir also highlighted the importance of sustainability in the economic programs implemented by the Jokowi administration.
“Jokowi is not only focused on short-term results, but also designing a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth,” he added.
In addition, Tahir emphasized that Jokowi’s program also encourages economic inclusion by paying attention to the welfare of the lower classes. Through various social assistance programs and pro-people policies, Jokowi has succeeded in reducing poverty and inequality in Indonesia. Tahir praised this initiative as an important step in building a more equitable and inclusive economic foundation.
In a global context, Tahir said that Jokowi’s approach has helped Indonesia strengthen its position as one of the main economic powers in Southeast Asia. By continuing to strengthen infrastructure and human resources, Indonesia is increasingly ready to face global challenges such as climate change and technological disruption.
Dato Sri Tahir is optimistic that Indonesia is on the right track to achieve sustainable economic growth. “Jokowi’s grand plan is a long-term vision that will not only provide benefits today, but also lay the foundation for future generations,” he concluded.
