Jayapura – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has just visited a gathering of young people in Papua and inaugurated the Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), followed by the launch of the first smartphone and laptop brand in Papua under the name TOP ID.
This moment is one of the achievements of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) youth organization, which is a Papuan youth organization assisted by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). RI President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the inauguration of PYCH revealed that this breakthrough was the first time in Indonesia with Papua as its priority.
“This will be a room for empowering the quality of human resources, now we will see it with PYCH in Jayapura. This is the first in Indonesia and is in Papua, later so that it will also be built in NTT, West Papua, Maluku and Aceh starting this year,” said President Jokowi.
The PYCH building was the brainchild of BIN Chief General Police (Purn.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D in developing the potential of young Papuans.
“Papua has a special place in the President’s heart, with special attention to development, including the development of Papuan human resources and the development of Papuan male and female human resources. That’s why they love the President even more,” said the Head of BIN at the event.
Head of BIN Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan added that currently the level of public satisfaction with the President in Papua has reached 80 percent, which is the highest average nationally. Through this inauguration, PYCH will become the Presidential Gold Ink Legacy in Papua.
“The inauguration of PYCH is a form of the President’s commitment to building a Papuan talent center as a driving force for the economy and prosperity of Papua. PYCH will create jobs for business and economic development as well as arts and culture, and many other developments,” he said.
He also emphasized that PYCH’s vision and mission is the driving force in partnership with various stake holders.
“We are optimistic that the results of PYCH will be global with the development of Papuan Youth Human Resources,” he said.
A Papuan youth leader who is also active in PYCH, Elia Musa Rawar, also introduced the TOP ID brand as the first brand to represent the work of young Papuans in the field of technology.
“One of the goals of PYCH is to make new innovations for the land of Papua, for the people of Papua, which are proposed by young Papuans themselves,” said Elijah.
TOP ID stands for Torang Papua Indonesia. He claimed that this was the first smartphone and laptop brand that was originally assembled by Papuan children.
