Banten – The government continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to realizing national economic equity through the strengthening and empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Various strategic programs implemented over the past year have helped thousands of business actors move up a level, transforming from traditional businesses into more productive, innovative, and highly competitive economic units.
One concrete example of these activities is the collaboration with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) in organizing the Micro Business Facilitation and Protection Festival. The event took place on October 22, 2025, at the Kelapa Dua Sports Center, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, involving a total of 1,200 micro-business actors from various regions and business backgrounds.
Deputy Minister of MSMEs of Indonesia, Helvi Yuni Moraza, stated that the government continues to strive to upgrade MSMEs while ensuring the sustainability of their businesses through training, licensing, financing, and financial literacy programs.
“The government, through the Ministry of MSMEs, continues to implement tangible programs to strengthen the micro-business sector. One concrete step is providing integrated services during this festival so that MSME actors can directly access the facilities they need,” Helvi said.
Meanwhile, BRI’s Micro Director, Akhmad Purwakajaya, said that BRI continues to strengthen the micro-financing ecosystem with the support of technology, education, and easy access to banking services. By involving MSMEs under its guidance in this festival, BRI hopes to build a strong, resilient, and adaptive micro-business ecosystem.
“As a bank that was born and grew together with the people, BRI remains committed to being a big home for MSME entrepreneurs. We want to ensure that every business actor, no matter how small, has the same opportunity to grow and move up a level,” Akhmad said.
Akhmad explained that by September 2025, BRI had recorded the disbursement of People’s Business Credit (KUR) amounting to IDR 130.2 trillion to 2.8 million debtors, equivalent to 74.40% of BRI’s total KUR allocation for 2025 of IDR 175 trillion.
