Jakarta — In the energy sector, the first year of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s administration has recorded remarkable achievements, with oil and gas lifting reaching 605,000 barrels per day, up from the previous 580,000 barrels, and the share of renewable energy in the national electricity mix rising from 11 percent to 15.5 percent.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia highlighted these two milestones as a reflection of progress toward energy self-sufficiency under the Prabowo–Gibran leadership.
“In 2025, our oil lifting rose from just 580,000 barrels to 605,000 barrels,” Bahlil explained.
“Meanwhile, the share of renewable energy in the national electricity mix increased from 11 percent to 15.5 percent,” he added.
In the food sector, President Prabowo’s administration has set an ambitious goal of achieving national food security. Indonesia is now experiencing a rice production surplus, with reserves exceeding 4 million tons — the highest in the nation’s history.
Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman affirmed that the national food policy is now delivering tangible results. The national rice stock has reached 4.2 million tons, marking the end of medium rice imports that had long burdened the country’s finances.
“Compared to last year, we were still importing rice. Now, no longer. This is the result of President Prabowo’s grand vision — from regulatory reform and collaboration to effective execution,” said Minister Amran in Jakarta.
He further explained that the government has implemented massive deregulation, revoking 240 regulations that previously hampered the agricultural sector. “Within ten months, 17 Presidential and Instructional decrees were issued to reform many aspects. This has never happened before,” he emphasized.
In addition, the absorption of milled dry grain (GKP) this year has reached 65 million tons, sourced from small (0.5 ton/hour), medium (2 tons/hour), and large (20 tons/hour) mills — with annual milling realization showing a consistent upward trend.
Meanwhile, in the housing sector, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait reaffirmed the government’s commitment to achieving the construction target of 350,000 subsidized housing units in 2025.
“This year’s target of 350,000 units is the largest in history. We are working hard to make it happen,” Maruarar stated.
According to PKP Ministry data as of October 16, 2025, a total of 202,267 housing units have been contracted and handed over, while 47,000 units are under construction, and 2,045 units are ready for occupancy.
“These achievements demonstrate that the government is fully committed to ensuring access to affordable housing for all Indonesians,” Maruarar concluded. (*)
