The existence of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) is believed to be able to improve the welfare of the people of Papua, the increase in the new autonomous regions will of course cut the distance traveled when there will be logistics delivery. In addition, the development of new autonomous regions will also stimulate the construction of public facilities such as health care facilities, terminals and markets. The new autonomous regions will be very useful for equitable development because the government’s span of control is getting smaller and the regional budget from the center is increasing.

Currently Papua has 4 new new autonomous regions, namely the Provinces of Central Papua, Central Highlands Papua, Southwest Papua and South Papua. The community also provides support for the effort to form this new autonomous region because it has proven to be beneficial for residents in Bumi Cenderawasih. The community is also grateful because the inauguration of the new autonomous region is a form of the central government’s concern for the people of Papua.

RI President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the formation of 4 new autonomous regions in Papua was based on the request of the community. The formation of the new autonomous region is aimed at equitable development in Cenderawasih Earth. The government also wants to increase the reach of public services so that they can reach all areas in Papua.

The development of new autonomous regions will certainly foster infrastructure development such as roads and bridges which are of course representative. Thus land transportation will be more accessible.

Deputy V of the Presidential Staff Office, Jaleswari Primodharwani, said the addition of the Papua new autonomous region was a form of the government’s and the DPR RI’s alignment with the people’s aspirations. Especially for Indigenous Papuans (OAP) who want steps to accelerate welfare development in the Cenderawasih Earth region.

In a sense, the government is very concerned about the people of Papua and ultimately created divisions. The establishment of the Provinces of Central Papua, Highlands Papua, South Papua and Southwest Papua was the request of the Papuan people. After the new autonomous region was officially established, the people were very happy because the government was on their side.

With the inauguration of the 4 new autonomous regions, there will be an even distribution of development. Development in Papua should indeed be increased for the sake of equity, so that not only big cities get good infrastructure, but also other areas in Papua such as Intan Jaya, Mimika, Nabire etc.

Equitable development is needed for the progress of society in Papua. When the 4 new provinces are established, new provincial government offices will also be established. Automated roads and other infrastructure will continue to be repaired. The Papuan people are very grateful to the central government because since the new province was established, there will be many positive changes in Papua.

Development needed by the community is not only in the form of roads or bridges, but also school buildings. Especially when a new province is born, of course school buildings will also be built, starting from kindergarten to high school. This will allow Papuan children to go to school without having to travel too far.

On a different occasion, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin hoped that the formation of four new autonomous regions in Papua Province could be a way of change or a game changer for solving problems in Papua, both welfare and security issues.

Ma’ruf also hopes that the formation of a new province in Papua will make services to the people of Papua more massive. This is because so far services in the vast region of Papua have only been concentrated in the provinces of Papua and one in West Papua. The realization of new autonomous regions in Papua can be the best effort in presenting accelerated development and equity as rights that must and must be received by Papuans who are part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

With the existence of a new autonomous region, of course this will provide new opportunities for the Son of the Region to further develop their potential. Moreover, this division has the objective of dividing the tasks of Regional Government to become more specific and reach a more detailed focus on regions and regional communities.

With the accelerated development of the new autonomous regions, of course this will provide new opportunities for the Sons of the Region to further develop their potential. Moreover, the development of new autonomous regions aims to divide regional government tasks that are increasingly specific and focus on regions and local communities that are far from the center of regional government.

With the existence of development in Papua which has been continuously intensified by the Government of Indonesia since the era of President Jokowi’s leadership which wants to change the paradigm of development so far in the country, that is, it is no longer Java-centric or it no longer only promotes development in certain areas. Indonesian President Joko Widodo is determined to continue to carry out development evenly in all corners of the country to change the paradigm from Java-centric to Indonesia-centric.

With an island that is wider than Java, it is only natural that Papua is divided into several provinces in order to accelerate development which will have an impact on increasing the welfare of the Papuan people. The development of the new autonomous region is also a history of development inscribed by the government under the leadership of President Jokowi. It is hoped that the development of the new autonomous regions will not only make Papua more advanced, but also make the people of Cenderawasih more prosperous.
