Aceh – An extraordinary initiative has been started by President Joko Widodo by creating the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) program which is realized by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in improving the quality of the young generation of Aceh. President Jokowi arrived at the AMANAH Building, Ladong, Aceh Besar (15/10) accompanied by the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) General of Police (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D., PSM, enlivened by 800 Acehnese youth dancers.
President Joko Widodo first went around to see various booths of Acehnese youth works in the AMANAH program. President Jokowi interacted a lot with AMANAH youth who are young entrepreneurs, young farmers, artists, content creators and other young creative activists.
In his speech, President Jokowi stated that Indonesia is currently facing global uncertainty caused by three main factors: economic uncertainty with very low world growth and many countries falling into recession; geopolitical uncertainty due to ongoing conflicts such as the Ukraine war, the Israel-Palestine conflict, and tensions in the Middle East; and the real impact of climate change with natural disasters and extreme temperatures that are making competition between countries even tighter.
“Therefore, our key is how we can create superior human resources, so that we can compete with other countries. We thank God last year, our economy still grew 5.08 percent, this year we estimate it will also be above 5 percent, God willing. And we hope that later with the inauguration of the new President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, our economy will be much better,” he said.
President Jokowi expressed his admiration for the innovation and creativity of young people in Aceh, which he said was very classy and showed extraordinary quality.
“Today I am truly amazed by the innovation, by the creativity of the young people in Aceh who I see are very creative and innovative, whether in fashion, especially Muslim fashion, design, it is truly very classy, in my opinion very classy,” praised President Jokowi.
President Jokowi appreciated the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) which has succeeded in realizing its mandate in building the Youth Creative Hub in Aceh and hopes that similar initiatives can be implemented in other regions in Indonesia.
“The leap is not less, it is just a matter of how to consistently polish and hone it so that new innovations emerge in Aceh Province. I really appreciate BIN (State Intelligence Agency) who has prepared this, and we hope that in all provinces there will be Creative Hubs like this,” he added.
BIN Chief Budi Gunawan also expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi who, according to him, has truly built and spread development evenly throughout Indonesia.
“He is a President with a high approval rating. President Jokowi has truly built and spread development in Indonesia, not only Java-centric. His heart is truly for Indonesia,” said BIN Chief Budi Gunawan.
According to him, AMANAH is one of the extraordinary initiatives born from President Joko Widodo’s thoughts to support the young generation in Aceh. After the success of PYCH in Papua, AMANAH is here as proof of the President’s love for young people from the eastern to the western tip of Indonesia.
“AMANAH is the fruit of President Jokowi’s thoughts for Aceh’s youth after the inauguration of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) in Papua. The President also gave the government to BIN to build the Youth Creative Hub in Aceh, which shows the President’s love for young people both in the eastern and western ends of Indonesia,” he said.
In one year, the program has proven effective with the assistance of the PUPR Ministry and support from officials and Acehnese religious figures. Until now, AMANAH has registered 20,256 young Acehnese members and focuses on development in seven strategic sectors, namely agriculture, livestock, fisheries, MSMEs, creative economy industry, sports, social movements.
“AMANAH will always be remembered as the mandate of President Jokowi for the future of Aceh. They see AMANAH will bring hope for a more prosperous, prosperous and advanced future,” added BIN Chief Budi Gunawan.
