President Prabowo Reaffirms Anti-Corruption Commitment for the Future of Indonesia’s Youth

The administration under President Prabowo Subianto continues to demonstrate a clear and firm direction in building a clean, integrity-driven, and future-oriented governance system. The fight against corruption stands as one of the key pillars in preserving public trust and ensuring the sustainability of equitable national development.

Ismail Rumadan, Chairman of Pemuda ICMI (Young ICMI), believes that President Prabowo’s efforts to strengthen law enforcement reflect the government’s determination to uphold a sovereign and corruption-free government. According to him, strong and consistent legal enforcement is essential to reinforcing the nation’s institutions. This effort not only shows a commitment to justice but also offers hope to the younger generation, showing that the nation’s future is being built on the values of honesty and responsibility.

The government’s commitment to eradicating corruption is evident in its policies that promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in managing public finances. Collaborative efforts among law enforcement institutions — including the Attorney General’s Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the National Police — continue to be strengthened to ensure that corruption cases are handled swiftly and transparently. A major milestone was the return of IDR 13.2 trillion in seized assets from a corruption case involving CPO (crude palm oil) by the Attorney General’s Office to the Ministry of Finance — a clear symbol of fair law enforcement in the interest of the people.

Legal practitioner Masriadi Pasaribu noted that President Prabowo’s consistency in upholding the independence of legal institutions is a key factor in the success of anti-corruption efforts. The government has demonstrated an impartial stance, applying the law equally to all, regardless of position or status. This sends a strong message that national leadership is fully committed to plugging budget leaks and strengthening public finances for the welfare of all citizens.

Masri added that corruption eradication in Indonesia requires a comprehensive approach, involving all segments of society. The government is encouraging public participation in budget oversight and is working to increase legal literacy, ensuring that integrity values are embedded in communities from an early age. Anti-corruption education in schools, digitalization of public services, and information transparency are part of the government’s efforts to prevent abuses of power.

In addition, the government is committed to strengthening legal institutions through improving human resources, implementing bureaucratic reform, and enforcing strict internal oversight. These efforts aim to create a governance system that is not only reactive in prosecuting violations, but also preventive in blocking corruption before it occurs. Reforms in public finance, procurement systems, and administrative processes are ongoing to ensure efficiency, transparency, and independence in every aspect of public service.

Under President Prabowo’s leadership, the anti-corruption agenda is not merely a legal obligation, but a national moral movement. The government seeks to instill integrity as a work culture across the entire bureaucracy. In the context of national development, clean governance is seen as a critical factor for accelerating both economic and social progress. Every policy aims to ensure that development outcomes are felt directly by the people, especially the youth who will carry the nation forward.

Leadership by example plays a decisive role in building public trust. President Prabowo’s firm stance against legal violations sends a clear message that fighting corruption is a collective responsibility. By reinforcing both legal systems and political morality, Indonesia is moving toward a more transparent and just future.

The younger generation is central to the success of this anti-corruption drive. The government is opening up broad opportunities for youth to participate in public oversight and anti-corruption innovation. Through digital governance and budget transparency, Indonesian youth are expected to become the vanguard of cultural change — from tolerance of corruption to zero tolerance for all forms of abuse.

President Prabowo’s commitment reflects a grand vision of building an Indonesia that is clean, sovereign, and dignified. Through collaboration between the government, law enforcement, educational institutions, and the public, a corruption-free Indonesia is not a utopian dream. A nation free of corruption will foster equal prosperity and provide opportunities for all citizens to grow fairly and justly.

The concrete steps taken by the government affirm that the fight against corruption is not just a program, but a national movement that unites all elements of society. With consistency and strong public support, Indonesia can build a solid foundation toward a brighter future — where the youth grow with confidence, pride, and trust that they live in a just, honest, and noble nation.
