Papua — Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) which is a building and institution assisted by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) is very optimal in providing guidance to young people. They are ready to appear in many big events and promote Papua in the eyes of the world.
It is known that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will hold an event titled Papua Street Carnival in early July 2023.
The agenda also collaborated with PYCH, which is under the guidance of BIN in continuing to train young people in Cenderawasih Earth.
Then, before the event was officially opened, there was also a series of pre-events in the form of auditions for the singers to be featured in the event.
It turned out that very high enthusiasm was shown by the young generation of Papua, of which as many as dozens of people auditioned for the singing.
However, due to the strict audition process, only 7 participants were selected.
One of the participants who successfully passed, Marsanda Imbiri (21) stated that so far the guidance from BIN has been able to bring his dream closer, namely to become the pride of Papua and to be able to become a professional singer.
“My hope is that in the future I can move forward to make Papua proud. (I) really want to (become a singer),” said the third semester student.
Meanwhile, another participant who passed, Ino Kyeukyeu (25) gave his great appreciation for the event which was held by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in collaboration with BIN.
“It is very extraordinary that auditions are being held within the framework of the Papua street carnival. This is an event that will show the talents of Papuan children,” said Ino.
In fact, he hopes that in the future many similar events will be held because it is to show the many talents that Papuan youth have.
“My hope is that this event will continue to exist, and there will be more big events that show the original talents of Papuan children,” he said.
Of course, the very optimal guidance carried out by BIN is also able to make a more positive contribution so that Papuan youths can introduce their culture and potential to the world.
The event has also involved many parties such as thousands of creative economy actors, hundreds of fashion parades, hundreds of creative MSMEs exhibitions, hundreds of decorative boats to a carnival.
All of them aim to be able to display a variety of works to the cultural heritage of Papua in the eyes of the world.
Not only that, but with the Papua Street Carnival it will also be able to open up investment opportunities in the creative economy, increase people’s income so that it becomes a venue for Papuan tourism promotion.
Because, indeed all the elements that participated in the agenda have reflected the cultural wealth and traditional heritage that belongs to Cenderawasih Earth.
With the help of the active participation of young Papuans, the Papua Street Carnival event has the potential to become an annual event and at the same time become a tourism icon there.
