Aceh – The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) Program, initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) under the leadership of Police General. (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D. is in line with the vision and mission of President Joko Widodo’s government in encouraging the growth of the creative economy and improving community welfare through empowering local resources.
This program not only focuses on improving technical skills, but also actively encourages market development for local products, in this case Acehnese weaving.
Through the Acehnese weaving creation training program, many young craftsmen are now flooded with orders after taking the training and exhibiting their work.
Ahead of the historic day of AMANAH’s inauguration, Zulhelmi, as a mentor in the AMANAH Weaving program, said that this program not only focuses on technical training, but also supports craftsmen in expanding their market.
“The AMANAH program not only provides training, but also actively promotes Acehnese woven products, both at the provincial and national levels,” said Zulhelmi.
One of the promotional efforts made was through AMANAH’s involvement in the Muslim Fashion Festival (Muffest) which took place in Jakarta. In this event, Acehnese woven products received great attention from various groups, including young designers.
“We were introduced to several millennial designers, and thank God, our woven products are in high demand,” added Zulhelmi.
Aceh weaving creation training attended by craftsmen from various regions in Aceh, such as Aceh Jaya to Bener Meriah. From the training, six participants were selected to work at Rumah Tenun Amanah X Kutaraja, where they will produce woven fabrics that have been ordered by various large companies.
The promotions carried out by AMANAH not only help increase orders, but also introduce Acehnese woven products to a wider market.
“After the training, our products have been promoted by AMANAH, so many people have started to know and be interested in our weaving,” continued Zulhelmi.
This support has proven to provide a real contribution to improving the creative economy in Aceh.
The AMANAH program not only focuses on improving technical skills, but also on empowering the local economy through typical Acehnese products. With this program, weavers not only produce quality products, but also have the opportunity to improve economic welfare through a wider market.
This program is appreciated by many parties because it has succeeded in raising local potential and creating new economic opportunities for the people of Aceh.
Through training and promotional support, AMANAH has helped strengthen Aceh’s creative economy, making weavers an important pillar in advancing the creative industry in the region. []
