Reliable Power Supply Guaranteed During Ramadan, Standby Inspections Strengthened

Jakarta – Reliable electricity supply during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah is guaranteed, as PLN Indonesia Power strengthens standby inspections at various generation and maintenance units. Through a series of Electricity Standby Inspections and Ramadan Safari activities, the company affirms its commitment to maintaining the stability of the national electricity system while also demonstrating social responsibility for the community during the holy month.

One of the main agenda items was held at the Pangkalan Susu Power Generation Business Unit in North Sumatra. The activity carried the theme “Absorbing Aspirations, Strengthening Collaboration, Accelerating Transformation.” Management conducted on-site inspections of the power plant to ensure equipment readiness, spare parts availability, monitoring system optimization, and the readiness of personnel on duty during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods. This preventative measure is considered crucial to anticipate potential power supply disruptions, particularly when power demand increases during prayer times and community activities.

President Director of PLN Indonesia Power, Bernadus Sudarmanta, expressed his appreciation for the positive performance trend of the Pangkalan Susu Generation Business Unit throughout 2025, which showed improvements in terms of reliability and operational performance.

“This positive performance reflects strong team solidarity and collaboration. We ensure all equipment and personnel are ready to maintain reliable electricity supply, especially during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods,” said Bernadus in Jakarta.

According to him, the Ramadan period is a crucial momentum for companies to demonstrate optimal operational readiness.

“Management is not only focused on technical achievements, but also provides moral support to operators and field officers who are at the forefront of maintaining the stability of the electricity system,” he stressed.

Similarly, the President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PLN Indonesia Power, Arief Budiman, emphasized the importance of two-way communication in supporting the company’s transformation.

“Transformation isn’t just about technology and performance achievements, but also about openness in expressing aspirations. Strong collaboration is born from honest and constructive communication,” said Arief.

In addition to strengthening operational aspects, the Ramadan Safari also included social activities through the PLN Indonesia Power Peduli program. In the Pangkalan Susu operational area, management distributed donations to orphans and the underprivileged as a demonstration of the company’s concern for the surrounding community. The donations were symbolically handed over by unit leaders, demonstrating the company’s commitment to growing alongside its surrounding community.

Rahmat Syahputra Lubis, General Manager of the Maintenance Business Unit, emphasized that the sharing activity is part of the company’s ongoing social responsibility program. Ramadan is a time to strengthen awareness and the spirit of sharing.

“We hope this assistance will not only provide material benefits, but also bring happiness and encouragement to these children in achieving their dreams,” he said.

Through a combination of strengthening electricity standby inspections and Ramadan social actions, PLN Indonesia Power emphasizes its role not only as a guardian of national energy reliability, but also as an entity that actively contributes to community welfare.

Technical readiness, reinforced by social awareness, is expected to create a solemn and comfortable Ramadan atmosphere, with a stable electricity supply and excellent service throughout the operational area.
