JAKARTA – PSSI Secretary General (Secretary General) Yunus Nusi believes that RI Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir has the qualities to become the General Chairperson of PSSI for the 2023-2027 period. Erick Thohir is one of the five candidates for general chairman of PSSI for the 2023-2027 period besides the Chairperson of the RI DPD LaNyalla Mattalitti, Arif Wicaksono, Doni Setiabudi, and Fary Djemy Francis.
According to the man who was born in Gorontalo, Erick has a lot of experience in the gridiron world and has the support of most voters (to become the General Chair of PSSI–red).
“What I see from Mr. Erick is that he will be able to provide the best for Indonesian football, besides that he is also supported by most of the voters,” Yunus said in Jakarta, some time ago.
Meanwhile, a member of the PSSI Executive Committee, Hotersasani Abdulgani, said that if he is elected to the PSSI Extraordinary Congress, Erick will fix a number of things, including fans and competitions.
“Me and Erick have the same idea. Our first focus is on the fans. If you still have an attitude like now (which is negative), then the fans kill their own pleasure, which is football. We have to fix that,” said Hasani, Monday (13/2).
He added, Erick Tohir also wanted the welfare of the referee to be more optimal in leading the match. The judges on the field must be able to carry out their duties calmly without worrying about their future.
“The life and welfare of the referee will be guaranteed. If someone is still ‘naughty’, will be given a punishment. Must establish good relations with the government and FIFA. It also makes it easier to complete some matters,” concluded the man from Aceh.
