The 10th WWF in Bali is a Moment for World Leaders to Discuss Water Security and Climate Change

Bali – Indonesia is the first Southeast Asian country to host the World Water Forum (WWF). The Indonesian government is carrying out four important missions in the world’s largest international water forum, the 10th World Water Forum. These four missions are the presence of a centralized network in the Asia Pacific region specifically aimed at issues of water security, climate change and environmental research.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) revealed that the 10th WWF, which will take place in Bali in May 2024, can create momentum for global cooperation regarding water.

Director General (Dirjen) of Water Resources, Bob Arthur Lombogia, in his speech represented by the Head of the National Natural Resources Council Secretariat, Yunitta Chandra Sari, said “that the WWF event can be a very important momentum for global cooperation in protecting and utilizing water in a sustainable manner for the sake of mutual prosperity, ”

According to the Secretariat of the National Natural Resources Council, Yunitta Chandra Sari, Indonesia’s participation in the 10th WWF community in Bali shows that Indonesia as part of the global community is committed to protecting and managing water resources. Let’s show the world that we as citizens of the global community have a strong and serious awareness and commitment to protecting and managing water as a valuable asset and must be preserved, for the survival of us and future generations.

Through collaboration across countries, sectors and generations, we can create innovative and sustainable solutions in managing water to achieve common goals towards peace, prosperity and prosperity for all humanity.

On another occasion, the Head of BMKG who is also the Person in Charge of Programs and Sessions of the National Committee for Organizing the 10th WWF, Dwikorita Karnawati, explained that this forum has three components, namely the thematic process, regional process, and process political (political process).

“At the 10th World Water Forum, all stakeholders are expected to contribute to understanding and solving problems related to water issues to achieve sustainable management,” said Dwikorita. “Let’s show the world that we as citizens of the global community have a strong and serious awareness and commitment to protecting and managing water as a valuable asset and must be preserved, for the survival of us and future generations,” said Dwikorita. —
