Bali – World Water Forum (WWF) is an international forum that has dozens of member countries from various different continents. This forum is focused on improving the quality of water resources throughout the world. The World Water Forum was founded by the Word Water Council (WWC) and holds a conference every three years.
In 2024, the WWF conference will be held in Bali, Indonesia which is planned to be held in May. At this conference, several things that will be discussed include water conversion, natural disaster mitigation, food and energy security, and clean water and sanitation.
As an archipelagic country that has extensive water areas, Indonesia is one of the most important countries among other WWF members. Other members also think that Indonesia is a country that maintains its water resources well, where the regulation of clean water and water sanitation in Indonesia is quite good.
The holding of the WWF conference in Bali is a stage for Indonesia to show how strong Indonesia’s resource management is.
“This is our opportunity to show that we are a country that has strong water resources. As an island country with abundant water resources, we must show off at this conference. “We are the country with the best management of water resources,” said Budi Mawardi, as advisor to the Indonesian Fighter Tourism Association (IFTA).
This WWF conference brings many benefits to the local population and to Indonesian society as a whole. Bali’s tourism sector will benefit as this event progresses because surrounding tourist attractions will definitely be visited by more foreign tourists.
MSMEs in Bali will also clearly be positively impacted thereby improving the surrounding economic sector. Then, Indonesia will certainly get exposure from holding this event because it can show that Indonesia is a good host country so that Indonesia is considered good in the eyes of the international community.
The only objective that Indonesia must achieve is to be able to realize this event as well as possible and take advantage of the maximum possible benefits.
“This is clearly a very good opportunity for Indonesia. We must make the best use of this opportunity. Indonesia must be a good host and show that Indonesia is a reliable country in holding events like this conference. “The profits for local businesses must also be utilized well, because we will definitely have tens and maybe even hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists who want to enjoy Bali,” explained Budi.
More focused, Indonesia must be able to take advantage of this opportunity to improve the tourism sector in Bali. Foreign tourists certainly know Bali because of its stunning tourist attractions.
“The most important thing is that this conference must be able to build and improve the tourism industry in Bali. “How could it not be, the tourist attractions in Bali are one of the best in the world so of course they will attract many tourists,” added the IFTA advisor.
In the last few years, Indonesia has very often hosted several international conferences. From several of these events, Indonesia was successful in being a good host and taking advantage of the benefits that came. For this WWF conference, it should be an easy task for Indonesia to shine again as a good host. The hope is that this event can raise Indonesia’s prestige in the eyes of countries all over the world.
