Security forces continue to intensify law enforcement against Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Groups (KST) in various regions . The community also fully supports the various actions of the security forces so that KST atrocities against Papuan civilians do not happen again .
The Papuan people appreciate the actions of the security forces from the Indonesian National Army (TNI), the Indonesian National Police ( Polri ), and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in protecting the Papuan people . This is reflected in various law enforcement efforts ranging from prevention to prosecution against Papuan KST members .
The security forces’ efforts to maintain the security and social order situation and protect the Papuan people are starting to bear fruit , including in the Bintang Mountains area, which has often been terrorized by separatist gangs . According to the Head of the Cartenz 2023 Peace Operations Unit , Kombes Faizal Ramadhani, the security situation in the capital city Bintang Mountains Regency is currently relatively stable .
He added that economic , educational and banking activities were running as usual . _ _ He also invited the public to carry out activities as usual . This is because joint personnel from elements of the TNI, Polri and BIN are committed to increasing security and guardingcommunity from KST disturbances .
As is known , Papuan KST members often cause trouble and injure civilians and security personnel . In response to this , security forces continue to hunt and chase the separatist gangs , so that they are often involved in gunfire .
Throughout September 2023 alone , at least 7 KST members died during firefights with authorities in the Papua region . Apart from that, 9 other KST members , including KST sympathizers, were successfully arrested by the authorities . They were arrested because they were involved in arson and shooting at civilians and civilians security forces .
Most recently , security forces from the Regional Civil Service Task Force Yonif 407/PK arrested a KST sympathizer named Marthen Iba . Marthen’s arrest was carried out when joint forces carried out a sweep after the attack on the Yonif 407/PK Regional Security Task Force Post by unknown people .
Regarding this matter , Kapen Kogabwilhan III, Colonel Czi GN Suriastawa explained that one West Papua KST sympathizer named Marthen Iba had been arrested on Friday (22/9 ) . The evidence that was secured was 3 homemade weapons , KTP in the name of Marthen Iba , West Papua TPN Member Card . in the name of Marthen Iba with the position of Operations Staff , 8 cellphones , 2 Telkomsel starter cards and 1 bag .
Previously , the ranks of the Car tenz Peace Gakkum Task Force , Papua Mountain Province had arrested five Papuan KST sympathizers on Sunday (17/9). According to the Head of Ops , Puncak Police , Inspector Pratama Sudirn , they were arrested because they were strongly suspected of supporting and maintaining intense communication with KST led by Egianus Kogoya . Apart from that , the security forces also have strong evidence , such as photo documentation on their cellphones containing indications that they are supporters and often communicate with Egianus Kogoya .
Not only that , joint personnel also succeeded in paralyzing a Papuan KST member in the name of Ricky Sasaka . The perpetrator was shot dead by the TNI- Polri Task Force while attacking a civil plane which was preparing to land at Oksibil Airport . Apart from one KKB member being killed , another person was injured as a result of the incident that .
It is known that this group was involved in various disruptions to flight traffic around the airport . Not only that , the group also shot Brimob officers on patrol until they died .
The terror carried out by KST in Papua must be stopped as soon as possible . Because , not only did they attack the population , but they also dared to burn the plane and take the passengers hostage . A number of parties support the government to take firm , measurable action . The reason is because KST always loses money right and tarnished Papua ‘s name
People hate KST because they often commit acts of violence and harm civilians . One incident that made people angry was when KST had the heart to burn a Susi Air plane and took the pilot and passengers hostage . Even though among the passengers there was a baby who certainly needed it special treatment .
In fact , Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin stated that the authorities (TNI and Polri ) must take firm action against KST who have caused trouble in Papua. This firm step was taken as a legal action , as well as proof that the state is present in Papua . Don’t let there be acts of chaos and separatism which endangers the country and especially the people of Cenderawasih Earth .
The threat from KST will weaken the economic sector , this is because markets are forced to close for security reasons . This market closure will of course be detrimental to the Papuan people themselves , especially since the market is a place where money circulates .
The existence of KST has become a source of conflict in Papua and the community supports firm action against KST Papua because it has carried out attacks and murders . With this firm action by the security forces , it is hoped that the KST atrocities will not be repeated and that peace throughout Papua can soon be realized .
