Manado – The government produces young people who are tough and ready to face various world challenges through the strategic program of the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN).
Deputy Chair of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) for North Sulawesi (Sulut) for Education, Research and Technology, Doni W. Utina, believes that it is very important to improve the quality of young human resources.
According to him, improving the quality of the young generation is through education, thereby making them strong future leaders of the nation.
If young people are tough, then it is not impossible, according to Doni, that they will be able to contribute to advancing the country.
“Improving the quality of education for youth is very important, because this is one way to produce future leaders who are strong and able to contribute to advancing the country,” he said.
The realization of AMN does not only produce the next generation of young people who are academically intelligent.
However, with the strategic program initiated by BIN, it prepares young people as competent future leaders of the nation.
Doni considers that the complete facilities that AMN provides are able to develop the potential of students.
“With complete facilities and an intensive coaching program, AMN Manado is expected to become a center for developing the potential of students from various regions in Indonesia,” he said.
“Through various activities, such as leadership training, soft skills development, and social activities, AMN residents will be forged into young human resources who are ready to face future challenges,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan revealed that the existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory is able to produce leaders who have high excellence.
“(Alumnus also) at the same time (can) become guardians of the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia with insight, attitudes and actions that firmly maintain the national fabric and diversity of the archipelago,” he said.
The Governor of North Sulawesi, through the Regional Secretary, Steve Kepel, emphasized that the existence of AMN is not just a place to live.
“The existence of AMN Manado is not just a place to live but also a social, intellectual and entrepreneurial laboratory,” he said.
“We not only produce intelligent students but become a milestone in the educational journey in the North Sulawesi region,” explained Steve.
