In the modern governance landscape, eradicating corruption has always been a key measure of successful state governance. Under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the direction of corruption eradication in Indonesia has begun to show positive changes, felt by the public. This is not only through firm law enforcement measures but also through strengthening systems and transparency in public policies.

The results of a recent survey released by Indikator Politik Indonesia show an increase in positive public perception of the government’s performance in combating corruption. Indikator Politik Indonesia researcher Bawono Kumoro explained that the public’s assessment of the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s corruption eradication efforts is generally positive. Based on the survey, 42.7 percent of respondents rated corruption eradication efforts as good or very good, with 35.5 percent rating them as good and 7.2 percent rating them as very good.

These findings indicate that the public is beginning to see a real commitment from the government to strengthening the integrity of public institutions and officials. Beyond mere rhetoric, the public is receiving strong signals from policies and concrete actions on the ground. This is also reflected in perceptions of law enforcement, which are also showing a positive trend. According to the same survey, 40.8 percent of respondents rated law enforcement as good or very good, with 37.8 percent rating it good and 3.0 percent rating it very good.

This trend is evidence that the Prabowo-Gibran administration has succeeded in growing public trust in law enforcement institutions, which had previously declined due to various political and institutional dynamics.

The success of corruption eradication is determined not only by the decisiveness of law enforcement officials, but also by the extent of public participation. Former Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Bambang Widjojanto, believes that success in the fight against corruption will not be achieved without strong and sustained public support. He emphasized the importance of building public trust in anti-corruption institutions to ensure optimal corruption eradication efforts.

In his view, it is impossible to eradicate corruption effectively without a social anti-corruption movement that systematically involves the public. This means that the public’s role in monitoring, reporting, and supporting every government action is crucial to ensuring that the anti-corruption spirit becomes part of the shared culture.

The Prabowo-Gibran administration appears to understand this well. One strategic approach it has taken is to build a digital-based monitoring system and strengthen synergy between law enforcement agencies such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Attorney General’s Office, and the National Police. These efforts demonstrate the government’s focus on building an effective prevention system, rather than relying solely on enforcement.

Nasir Djamil, a member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, assessed that President Prabowo has demonstrated extraordinary decisiveness in his efforts to eradicate corruption, particularly in the natural resources sector. This decisiveness goes beyond mere rhetoric and is manifested through concrete actions that address major economic interests.

Nasir revealed that President Prabowo had given direct instructions to the Attorney General’s Office to resolve various cases related to illegal palm oil plantations and mining in forest areas. This step represents a significant milestone in upholding justice and bringing order to a sector that has often been a source of state revenue leakage due to corrupt practices involving influential individuals.

He also added that over the past year, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Attorney General’s Office have uncovered many major cases, including some that were previously untouchable under the previous administration. This fact reinforces the impression that the Prabowo-Gibran administration is impartial in enforcing the law, even against parties with significant political and economic power.

This kind of consistency and courage is a strong signal to the public that the fight against corruption is on the right track. The government is not only focused on uncovering cases but also ensuring that the natural resource governance system is more transparent and accountable.

Beyond enforcement, bureaucratic reform has become a crucial part of the national anti-corruption strategy during the Prabowo-Gibran era. The government is promoting the implementation of a merit system in civil service management, expanding the digitalization of public services, and strengthening the whistleblowing system. These measures not only prevent corruption but also foster a work culture of integrity.

This reform also aims to ensure that every government institution has clear accountability standards. This will facilitate oversight of budget misuse, and allow the public to enjoy transparent services.

In this context, collaboration between state institutions, the private sector, and the public is a crucial factor. The Prabowo-Gibran administration has demonstrated its commitment to maintaining this momentum to ensure public trust continues to grow and the results are felt in people’s daily lives.

The increased public trust in the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s anti-corruption efforts is an achievement that must be safeguarded together. In a situation where political and economic challenges are so complex, the government’s courage in enforcing the law is a sign of renewed optimism for the public.

Now is the time for the public to fully support law enforcement agencies, especially the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), so they can operate independently, professionally, and achieve tangible results. Trust is a key asset in the long-term fight against corruption, and the Prabowo-Gibran administration has proven its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s integrity.

With strong collaboration between the government, law enforcement, and the public, eradicating corruption is no longer just a political promise, but a sustainable national movement. Because only with solid public trust and participation can Indonesia truly realize a clean, just, and sovereign government under the leadership of Prabowo-Gibran.
