The intensive infrastructure development carried out during the administration of Indonesian President Joko Widodo in the last ten years has received appreciation from academic circles.
In fact, Jokowi, who will end his position on October 20 2024, is considered worthy of being called the Father of Indonesian Infrastructure.
This cannot be separated from infrastructure development which has been proven to have a positive multiplier effect on the Indonesian economy and society in remote areas of the country.
Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Indonesia, Telisa Aulia Falianty, said that the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) deserves the highest appreciation as the Father of National Infrastructure.
“We appreciate Pak Jokowi that he is the father of Indonesian infrastructure because he left an extraordinary legacy,” explained Telisa to the media in Jakarta, Friday (4/10).
Because welfare is holistic, it is not only related to the availability of physical infrastructure, but the impact it has holistically, then in terms of human resources itself, there is progress and society becomes more prosperous.
“We ourselves have felt that, like the fast train to Bandung, for example, it’s very easy. We’re quite proud, it’s not just Japan that has that, and it’s very efficient for our mobility. Those are the things that have to be measured, not just in terms of economically or quantitatively, but also qualitatively for the holistic welfare of society,” added Telisa.
