Jakarta — During his ten years in office, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has successfully led Indonesia through various challenges, especially in the economic and infrastructure sectors.
Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Finance, emphasized that President Jokowi’s leadership in the economic sector has succeeded in bringing significant changes in handling extreme poverty in Indonesia.
“This stable economic growth cannot be separated from the infrastructure development policy that continues to be intensified by President Jokowi and the comprehensive social protection program,” said Sri Mulyani.
The economic transformation achieved during President Jokowi’s administration, he added, is not only seen from the growth figures, but also from the improvement in the quality of life of the community. According to the Minister of Finance, the social protection program launched by Jokowi created a safety net for the most vulnerable communities, ensuring that all levels of society can enjoy the benefits of sustainable growth.
Meanwhile, Indonesia is currently on the verge of transitioning to a new leadership under Prabowo Subianto. HIPMI Chairman Akbar Himawan Buchari emphasized the importance of continuity of strategic programs that have been set by Jokowi.
“President-elect Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to continuing President Joko Widodo’s strategic programs and policies is very strong, especially those related to infrastructure development and economic transformation,” said Akbar.
“The sustainability of President Joko Widodo’s transformation in the new government era is very important to ensure a conducive investment climate that attracts investor interest and has implications for improving people’s welfare,” added Akbar.
On a different occasion, Political Observer from Bung Karno University, Faisyal Chaniago, reminded the public to support the transition of government from President Jokowi to President-elect Prabowo Subianto.
“Fully support the priority programs of President-elect Prabowo Subianto so that the wheels of government can run well and there is continuity for programs that directly affect all levels of society,” said Faisyal.
According to him, the legacy left by President Jokowi is not only physical development, but also in-depth reforms in various sectors.
“From infrastructure that connects remote areas, to social programs that prioritize inclusivity, all of these are strong foundations for a better future,” said Faisyal.
