This historic moment not only served as a reminder of the Youth Pledge so loudly proclaimed in 1928, but also served as a concrete reflection of the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in maintaining national stability and countering various forms of provocation that could disrupt national unity.
The collaboration between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is seen as a symbol of the resilience of Indonesian unity. Amidst a highly dynamic social and political climate, the two institutions continue to demonstrate concrete examples of how to foster unity in carrying out their strategic functions.
The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) safeguards national sovereignty and territorial integrity, while the Indonesian National Police (Polri) ensures that security and public order are maintained. This combination of these two forces ensures the Indonesian nation remains steadfast amidst the threat of disinformation, provocation, and social unrest that can threaten national harmony at any time.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno assessed that the creation of a safe and orderly atmosphere during the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day reflects the increasing public awareness of the importance of always maintaining unity in any condition.
According to him, the spirit of the Youth Pledge today is no longer limited to a physical struggle like the figures and heroes of the past to fight against colonialists, but rather in this day and age, the struggle is carried out collectively to always maintain the integrity of the nation amidst the strong flow of digital information and global pressure.
Public awareness to continue to work together and participate in maintaining this conducive situation is concrete evidence that the spirit of unity in this modern era is still alive in the souls of the Indonesian people.
In this context, synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is a key foundation for maintaining national stability. Their collaboration is evident not only in security activities but also in strategic measures to counter provocations that could spark social conflict within the community.
Through joint patrols, digital surveillance, and a humanistic approach to addressing social dynamics, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) are able to ensure that any potential disturbances are handled quickly and appropriately.
Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto emphasized the TNI’s commitment to continued synergy with the National Police (Polri) in maintaining national security. He assessed that the close collaboration between the two institutions and the community is a concrete manifestation of the spirit of mutual cooperation inherited from the nation’s founders.
On various occasions, the TNI and Polri also collaborate in social activities, such as community service and national defense education, as an effort to strengthen the relationship between security forces and the people.
Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the active role of the community and the younger generation in supporting national stability during the commemoration.
He believes that conducive conditions cannot be achieved without the involvement of all elements of the nation. Cooperation between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the public is a key factor in maintaining stable national security amidst the rapid flow of disinformation.
The National Police Chief also highlighted the importance of public vigilance against the spread of hoaxes and hate speech online. He warned that digital provocation is often exploited by those seeking to sow division.
Therefore, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) are strengthening cyber patrols to monitor the spread of provocative issues and encourage the public to be more discerning in filtering information. These efforts aim to maintain a healthy digital space and serve as an educational resource for the younger generation.
