Jakarta – Ahead of the upcoming government transition, religious leaders are urging the public to appreciate the achievements made by President Jokowi over the past ten years, support the government transition, and ensure the success of the programs of the elected president, Prabowo Subianto, and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This was conveyed by the Secretary General of Muhammadiyah, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, and the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), KH. Marsudi Syuhud, during the SAPA INDONESIA MALAM program broadcast live on KOMPAS TV.
The Secretary General of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, expressed his gratitude for the hard work of President Jokowi and his team over the past ten years in building Indonesia.
“We express our appreciation for the performance he has delivered during his 10 years leading Indonesia, which is evidenced by Indonesia’s significant progress across various sectors in a balanced manner,” said Prof. Abdul Mu’ti.
He also emphasized the importance of respecting the election results as part of the maturity of democracy and giving the new government the opportunity to continue existing programs.
“We must be a nation that can appreciate its leaders by objectively assessing in a comprehensive manner the achievements that President Joko Widodo has accomplished in rapidly developing Indonesia,” he added.
Prof. Abdul Mu’ti also emphasized the significant achievements during Jokowi’s administration, including infrastructure development that supports economic growth and a decrease in unemployment rates.
