The G20 Summit, which will be held in Bali on November 15-16, received a positive response from tourism actors on the Island of the Gods. This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI) for the Bali Region, Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana,
“The G20 Summit provides economic benefits of one and a half to two times greater in aggregate compared to the implementation of the IMF World Bank Annual Meeting in Bali in 2018” , he explained.
Agung added that the implementation of the G20 Summit would be able to increase the occupancy of hotels in the activity implementation area and its surroundings. According to him, the occupancy rate increased significantly to 45.96 percent.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo) Bali stated its readiness to successfully implement the Work From Home appeal during the G20 Summit, as conveyed by the Government.
“Both the community and the business world can follow the rules, but it doesn’t take too long,” said Chairman of the Bali Province Apindo, I Nengah Nurlaba
. In addition, Apindo has also socialized its members so that they can adjust the delivery of goods to areas that implement WFH during the G20 Summit.
Previously, the Chair of the Bali Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati or Cok Ace stated the ability of its members to support the success of the G20 Summit.
Furthermore, the man who also serves as the Deputy Governor of Bali explained that the implementation of the G20 Summit will be centered in the southern area of Bali.
