The Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI) continues to maneuver in the midst of a crisis situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The public is also asked to be vigilant and not provoked by KAMI maneuvers that always disturb the Government, which is currently focused on overcoming Covid-19.

In the midst of the pandemic’s status that has not ended, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko reminded the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI) not to disturb national political stability.

Moeldoki said, KAMI are a group that contains a group of people who have interests.

Of course the government will not ban various groups or movements created by society. The government is actually open to various criticisms and inputs from the group. Because, it is part of democracy.

However, this former TNI commander also emphasized that the state also has calculations in placing between democracy and political stability.

Previously, Golkar politician Sarmuji considered that the demands made by the Action Coalition to Save Indonesia (KAMI) to the government were inappropriate.

Golkar views that so far, the government has been working optimally, especially in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the health and economic sectors.

He explained that what the government had done had all met KAMI demands, even went beyond. The government has even integrated health management with economic recovery so that the two do not cancel each other out, even become complementary steps.

This member of the Golkar faction said that KAMI showed the impression of being a group that seemed to have turned a blind eye to the government’s good performance so far. Especially for the lower class.

He explained that the government had taken many steps and had allocated and spent hundreds of trillions to overcome the impact of covid-19. Namely, through the national economic recovery program, especially for MSMEs, interest subsidies for credit relaxation, especially for small businesses, support for corporations and SOEs and several other steps.

On a different occasion, the plan for the kami declaration to be held in South Sumatra (Sumsel), turned out to be rejected. One of them is from South Sumatra residents who are members of the Youth and Student community in South Sumatra.

They staged an action against KAMI presence in South Sumatra. Action coordinator Dodi Hari said the South Sumatra region is famous for Zero Conflict. With the presence of KAMI in South Sumatra, he considered that the declaration could raise unwanted noise.

Dodi said that our presence in South Sumatra would actually change and destroy the constitution in Indonesia. They also hoped that there would be no fellow students and students involved in the KAMI declaration in South Sumatra.

Previously, the emergence of the KAMI also received harsh criticism from the Democratic Party, which last year became Jokowi’s political opponent.

Politician from the Democrat Party, Ferdinand Hutahaean, criticized that KAMI members did not want to save Indonesia, but instead divided the nation.

He also mentioned that KAMI members are victims of personal and group political egos. He continued, KAMI are also considered to have the goal of manipulating democracy and freedom of association.

On a different occasion, Abdul Kadir Karding as a PKB politician considered that what KAMI did was a coalition of people who lost the 2019 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

According to him, this can be seen from the figures who are members of the KAMI, who are mostly people who are disappointed with the results of the 2019 presidential election.

Karding also views that the KAMI declaration is an inappropriate step. In a democracy, the best position that the loser in the presidential election should take is to support the government for things that are positive.

Not long ago in Surabaya, hundreds of people who were members of Surabaya were We held speeches in turn and put up banners of rejection. They voiced that the grand gathering would not be held in Surabaya or East Java.

Shortly after the demonstrators staged a protest against the KAMI event. Gatot Nurmantyo was seen coming out of Gedung Juang 45. He left the location in a black car.

Apparently, a member of the KAMI Jakarta Presidium, Rochmat Wabah, admitted that the gathering with Gatot Nurmantyo at Graha Jabal Nur Surabaya had been asked to be stopped by the police because the event had no permission.

KAMI maneuvers seem to have expanded in various places. Their existence is of course still questionable, whether they are really working to save Indonesia, or if they want to get public attention.
