Beware of Radicalism among ASN

State Civil Apparatus (ASN) are workers whose salaries are paid by the state, of course they are also obliged to be loyal to the state. The servants of the state are strictly forbidden to become members of the radicals, even if only sympathizers. Radicals are rebels who want to bring down this country and disagree with the principle of Pancasila. They spread their wings secretly and invited everyone to become its members, including ASN.

Radicals want to add members not only from the ordinary but also ASN. They are considered to have enough influence so that they can invite their families and people around them to enter their groups. These ASNs are, on average, lulled by the promise that by becoming a member of a radical group, they will automatically enter heaven because they can be closer to Him. Though the way of violence taken by them such as bombing in public places would take casualties and keep radical elements from the beauty of heaven.

The government has prevented state servants from becoming members of the radicals by issuing a Joint Decree (SKB) issued at the end of 2019, along with a website for complaints. The letter, known as SKB 11, contains articles that prohibit ASNs from becoming members of the radicals. No kidding, the release of this letter was supported by the ministers, BIN, and the chair of the ASN commission.

In the Joint Decree 11 are points where ASNs are prohibited from speaking orally or in writing about hate speech against Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Unity in Diversity, the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, and the government, on their social media. In addition, they are also strictly forbidden to oppose both oral and written about the utterance of hatred in one tribe, religion, and race (SARA). ASNs are also prohibited from distributing status or news about hate speech and SARA (points 1 and 2) through share or retweet.

ASNs are also strictly forbidden to carry out activities that incite to hate Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution or denigrate the government, or attend. It is also forbidden to use clothing or attributes that are contrary to the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution (for example, shirts with the hammer and sickle logos). Servants of state also must not carry out harassment of state symbols (for example, red and white flags and garuda pancasila images).

If there is an ASN that has consciously committed any or even all of the points in SKB 11, then it can be reported on the complaint website. If they are proven to do so, they will be subject to sanctions ranging from medium to severe. For example, if a servant of the state is proven against the principle of Pancasila, there will be severe sanctions and can be dismissed with disrespect.

This KSB 11 rule was made so that the ASNs would not be polluted by radical thoughts. As servants of the state, they certainly must have a sense of nationalism in their hearts and strongly reject the call of terrorist groups. Radicals are mostly on the left wing and ASN is demanded to be impartial and neutral, whether there is an election or not. So KSB 11 did not colonize the independence of an ASN, but was made so that they were not recruited by radicals.

When there is CASN selection there is also a mandatory oral examination to find out if it is exposed to radicals. Even if it needs to be seen on his social media account. Does he have a high sense of nationalism or even cursing the government. You can also see if he likes the fanpage or Instagram account of the radicals. So it can be concluded whether or not they belong to their group, and if so they will not be accepted as ASN.

ASN, which follows radical groups and is found out, will be punished and the most severe is that it can be fired. This rule is in Decree 11 and indeed a servant of the state must be neutral and love Pancasila and uphold the Republic of Indonesia. If you are a servant of the state, then you must be vigilant in the association and do not get mired in radical groups.
