The P20 event, which will be held from 5 to 7 October 2022, has ended.

The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, who delivered the closing of the international session, revealed that the entire procession was carried out very smoothly.

Then, he explained that all members of the G20 countries were present in person along with as many as 59 heads of delegations.

“Alhamdulillah, the implementation of the P20 Presidency of Indonesia by carrying out the ‘Stronger Parliament for Sustainable Recovery’ has ended at this time, attended by 19 parliamentarians, as well as nearly 59 Heads of Delegation who were present on this occasion,” he said on Friday (7/10).

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture also added that the success of the P20 implementation would continue and serve as an introduction to the implementation of the G20 in November.

Furthermore, Puan also conveyed about 4 main topics in the discussion during the two-day session at Senayan.

Those four things still continue to be the main concern because it can be said that the world’s countries are very focused on overcoming them.

“Alhamdulillah, we have been able to hold the P20 in the context of the G20 Presidency which will be implemented by the government in November. There were 4 topics discussed in the P20 meeting during these two days; the first is a green economy, then the second is food and energy security, the third is how effective parliaments and democracy are, as well as social inclusion and gender equality and women’s empowerment,” explained Puan.

Furthermore, from the results of discussions during the trial, the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives explained that all delegates had strong commitments and agreements.

This commitment is about efforts to create world peace, including new hope for all countries so that there are no differences and gaps that occur.

“From the results of the discussion, all the G20 countries and the guests who came on this occasion are committed to how we can work together to create world peace, then give new hope to the international community that we want to be present and committed to how to make the world more peaceful. and how the world is full of social welfare without discriminating between the rich and the poor. And how all countries benefit from world togetherness,” said Puan.

Firmly, he also stated that all countries must be able to help each other and work together in recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The reason, according to him, will not be possible for a country that is able to survive on its own without the help of other countries in the midst of these difficult conditions.

“We all have one hope that after the COVID-19 pandemic, no country will be left behind. This means that all countries will help because it is impossible for one country to survive to recover post-pandemic in economic, trade and social affairs if it is alone,” he said.

All agreements in the session have also been recorded along with all the commitments made by the delegated countries so that they can then be implemented concretely to realize changes in the world for the better.

“So on this occasion, Alhamdulillah P20 which is the host is Indonesia, the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia, has succeeded in making a commitment. We have included all opinions and inputs in the decisions that have been agreed upon by all countries,” concluded Puan.
