Covid-19 pandemic not only impacts on aspects of public health, but also impacts on the socio-economic sector of society. The government also ensured that the Covid-19 handler had been carried out thoroughly.

The government is committed to continuing to handle the co-19 pandemic in Indonesia, this treatment is realized through a ‘policy trident’, which is handling health, channeling social safety nets and ensuring economic survival.

The spearhead of the trident policy is health management to ensure the community is protected, handled and the health system is able to serve. Simultaneously the social safety net policy was launched so that vulnerable people affected by the economy can still live.

The government also ensures that the economy continues to survive amid the current global economic constellation.

The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said, the commitment and seriousness of the government was very clear as directed by President Joko Widodo at the limited meeting last April 20, the President stressed, he would move all the powers of the government and the state to overcome co-19, both health and social issues -the economy that follows it.

Muhadjir said that currently health problems had begun to improve. Funding has been prepared, health facilities have been improved, medical devices such as PPE, test equipment and ventilators continue to be prepared.

The former Minister of Education and Culture explained, the non-regular program was a stimulus program for the acceleration of handling Covid-19, namely the Basic Groceries Bansos for Jabodetabek, Cash Bansos, Electricity Subsidy Assistance and Village Fund BLT.

The regular programs are Pre-Work Cards, Groceries Program and Family of Hope Program (PKH) but with an expansion of targets.

For this social safety net, social assistance has begun to be distributed to the community and the government will continue to accelerate its distribution. The government also cooperates with the KPK to jointly monitor the distribution of social assistance, and in its distribution involving the TNI and Polri.

This was done for the sake of transparency and accountability, as well as efforts in minimizing channeling errors.

Muhadjir also asserted, according to the KPK recommendations the database used for social assistance distribution is an integrated social welfare data (DTKS).

However, local governments can record other citizens who are not included in the DTKS but are also affected by the economy and according to the criteria for social assistance.

The efforts made by the government have certainly shown the government’s intention to protect its citizens. Of course if there are still deficiencies, we should improve together.

Muhadjir also invited the community to help the government, empathize socially and work together to be part of the solution.

Muhadjir revealed, the progress of the social safety net as of April 29, 2020. For the Jakarta Social and Political Assistance Center, it has been distributed to 284,587 beneficiary families (KPM) (30.04%)

Cash compensation has been distributed to 9,827 KPM. Distribution of basic food programs has also reached 13.3 million KPM (65%) and has reached 10.3 million KPM (51.5%) beneficiary families.

Meanwhile, the family hope program has been channeled to 9.96 million KPM. The electricity discount program has been utilized by 31 million KPM (100%).

For the Pre-Employment Card, the target of 5.6 million people was accepted in wave 1 of 168 thousand and wave 2 of 288 thousand. Participants have received cards and only 150 thousand have been given training. For BLT-DD, the target of 12.4 million people and 8157 villages has distributed BLT-DD.

With regard to economic survivability, the government is trying to keep the economic wheel from becoming paralyzed and remain in the midst of the 19th epidemic. The government is preparing credit relaxation and restructuring for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as a one-year credit installment relief.

This economic incentive is given by the central government so that the economy and small people can survive in the midst of the co-19 storm.

The government also monitors every day and evaluates the implementation of co-19 handling policies. If there is field dynamics, the government will quickly make adjustments, so that policy objectives can be achieved more optimally.

Covid-19 pandemic or corona virus has become a national problem that must be dealt with together, the community should synergize with the government to jointly declare war on the corona virus. Health recovery accompanied by economic recovery is certainly important to get support from many parties.
