The outbreak of the Corona Virus that has spread almost in many countries, makes Indonesia more aggressively trying to anticipate this. The World Health Organization (WHO) also acknowledges that the handling of the Corona virus in Indonesia has international standards.
No doubt, now the status of the spread of the Corona virus that has stirred the world is still developing in the city of Wuhan, China is considered a terrible plague. Because the victims are exposed to infrequently which then ends in death. These affected victims will usually be quarantined immediately and given a number of treatments.
Not only in neighboring countries, Indonesia itself is among those raising awareness to anticipate this. One of them is publishing travel advice to minimize the spread of this virus. This travel advice is suspected to be done by temporarily stopping tourism promotion activities in China and limiting overseas travel, especially China.
Previously, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Wishnutama, had temporarily transferred tourism promotion and marketing activities to areas not affected by the corona virus spread.
Wishnutama explained that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a travel plea especially for Indonesian citizens to China. Meanwhile, promotions are being diverted from the Wuhan market, such as Australia, Europe, the United States and others.
In addition he considered the need for an anticipatory step by all stakeholders in the tourism sector in the country to prevent the entry of the corona virus into Indonesia. Including tourism stakeholders including the association and all heads of Provincial and District Tourism Offices and Cities contributed to this prevention effort.
Meanwhile, in a meeting which was also attended by the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya, he stated that the Ministry of Transportation had closed flight routes to and from Wuhan, China, to anticipate the impact of the spread of the corona virus.
Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto also mentioned that until now there are no foreigners or Indonesian citizens in Indonesia who have been infected by the corona virus. In addition, the government has also provided a body temperature detector for up to 135 entrances in the archipelago and appointed at least 100 hospitals to be prepared to deal with the spread of the virus.
According to reports, 243 Indonesians at the epicenter in Hubei, Wuhan were declared in good health. The most important thing is how to prevent it by maintaining good immunity. As long as the immunity is good, apply a healthy lifestyle, eat on time, the body’s condition will be good. So that later it is not easy to contract the virus or disease.
Not only professionals anticipate the spread of the corona virus in the archipelago, the Government also pays attention to its citizens abroad. This is reflected when the Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, appealed to Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) working in Singapore not to panic in response to the rise in status. Even though Singapore has raised the status of the spread of this deadly virus.
One form of government attention is also manifested through efforts to repatriate Indonesian citizens. In this regard, President Joko Widodo has confirmed that as many as 238 Indonesian citizens who have completed their observation period in the Natuna region have been declared healthy and free of the corona virus. 238 Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from the city of Wuhan, China will return to their families on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Therefore, Jokowi appealed to the whole community not to worry if the 238 Indonesian citizens returned to their hometowns and mingled with residents. Jokowi even ensured that the Indonesian citizens were clean and not exposed to the corona virus.
It was also reported that Ida handed over masking assistance to Indonesian citizens residing in Singapore symbolically to the Ambassador of Swajaya. Namely, around 4,280 masks. Which will be distributed through the assistance of the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. He said that this was one of the efforts in preventing the spread of the corona virus to Indonesian citizens.
I Gede Ngurah Swajaya stated that the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore continued to carry out a number of information updates, especially related to the condition of the spread of the corona virus to Indonesian citizens through releases, information networks, social media and so on. He also appealed to Indonesian citizens in Singapore, including PMI, to always be careful and alert. Including the appeal for the use of masks and grandchildren with sanitation.
Even though it has caused a global upheaval, the efforts shown by the Indonesian government must be appreciated. Considering that in this critical condition mental psychic calm must be prioritized. In order, it does not cause unrest which actually harms oneself.
Not finding the case of the Corona Virus in Indonesia does not mean that it makes the government weak, instead it even tightens various efforts so that the archipelago is not exposed to the virus which is considered deadly. Although there are still worries about the impact of the corona virus, the government has reassured the entire community to remain calm in dealing with this case. Furthermore, prevention efforts certainly go back to themselves, namely maintaining a clean and healthy lifestyle as a whole. Both outside the house and when in public places.
