The attack by the Separatist and Terrorist Groups (KST) against 8 workers in Papua was very heartbreaking because it took their lives. The community supports the security forces to take firm action against these gangs because they have disrupted security stability and development in Papua.
KST is like a germ that must be eradicated on Earth of Cendrawasih. Their presence is very disturbing, because they have often attacked indiscriminately, both at the apparatus and civilians. Finally, they attacked workers in the Ilaga area, Puncak Regency, Papua. The incident was very tragic because it caused 8 fatalities, which were telecommunications company workers.
The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) condemned the KST attack in Ilaga. The reason is because they killed the workers who were repairing the BTS tower (base transceiver station). Deputy V of KSP Jaleswari Pramodhawardani stated that the workers were improving connections, in order to facilitate the education, health and economic activities of the residents. They are tasked with facilitating people’s communication.
In a sense, workers are assisting development in Papua in the field of communication. If the BTS is repaired it will be even better to transmit the signal. However, this effort was blocked by KST. It means that they don’t like progress on Earth of Cendrawasih, because the tower is not good and eventually communication gets worse.
Even though the signal is very necessary, not only for communication between residents, but also for school children. When the corona case rises again, then they go online again. So teachers and students need signals for zooming sessions or sending assignments via WhatsApp. However, their intention to study was blocked by KST.
KST can no longer be forgiven because this is not the only time they have hampered the development process in Papua, because they have also burned schools and shot teachers. That means they don’t want the people of Bumi Cendrawasih to advance, because they want to go to school, instead the building is burned to the ground.
If KST said it wanted to defect and form the Federal Republic of West Papua, it would be very strange. How can they lead the country if they are counter-educational? The community wants schools to be banned and the poor internet signal is left alone. In fact, if it is shrouded in stupidity, then KST can be easily deceived by others. They never thought long like that.
KST eradication needs to continue to receive support so that they do not disrupt security stability and hinder development progress in Papua. Although the Nemangkawi operation was renamed the Cartenz peace operation, it does not mean that it will be peaceful or that there will be no arrests of KST members.
In fact, KST members may indeed be arrested so that the situation in Papua and West Papua remains peaceful. The name of the operation was changed, but the goal was the same, namely eradicating KST and OPM from Bumi Cendrawasih. The method has indeed been replaced with a welfare approach, but that does not mean that KST is left to wander.
The people of Bumi Cendrawasih also agreed to KST’s arrest. The reason is, they are tired of facing terror and want their lives to be peaceful without any disturbance. When KST is dissolved and there are no more members roaming around, then the situation in Papua will be conducive and they can live comfortably, and develop their territory with enthusiasm.
When KST attacked the workers who were repairing the BTS tower, it was proven that they were anti-progress and development. No wonder more and more people hate KST and OPM, because they don’t agree with the modernization of Papua. The indigenous people of Bumi Cendrawasih also approved the arrest of KST so that it would not be more disturbing.
