Mutually Support the Success of PON XX for the Resilience of the Indonesian Nation in the Middle of a Pandemic

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has determined that the implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) and the XVI National Paralympic Week ( Peparnas ) in Papua will be held this year, namely 2-15 October 2021. The government has also ensured that all athletes, coaches and personnel supporters who are involved in it have received the vaccination ahead of PON and Papernas come.
Previously, the government had postponed the PON activity for a year because it was hindered by the Covid-19 pandemic . However, with all the readiness that exists and is encouraged by the support of the community and the public at large, the XX PON in 2021 will still be held.
Preparations for the XX PON in Papua are continuing carefully. Trainings through technical guidance ( bimtek ) are still carried out with adjustments to health protocols. Face-to-face meetings are virtually limited and dominated by training. However, even so, it did not become a barrier for the potential participants of the XX Papua PON.
With the government’s confidence to continue to hold this national event, apart from being an effort to restore all sectors of the country, especially the economy, the XX PON is also a form of building national resilience during the pandemic by making the event a success.
Not only is the government’s obligation to make the XX PON a success, but all levels of society also need to help the government by continuing to support positive things as long as this activity takes place for the sake of national unity. As we know, that this XX PON is a stepping stone for the nation’s children to reach the international scene, it is necessary to have support flowing from all citizens .
If the government and the people of Indonesia trust each other in the sustainability of PON XX Papua 2021 in the midst of a pandemic , then that is where the nation’s resilience will radiate and this event will run smoothly and bring the good name of Indonesia.
The positive contribution of each community will have a major impact on the smooth implementation of the XX Papua PON and is an important key in restoring the condition of the nation amid the Covid-19 pandemic . A strong society will certainly generate tremendous power to realize Indonesia’s vision and mission in the future.
