Papua Governor Lukas Enembe has been named the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a suspect in corruption and gratification cases. The Papuan people feel ashamed because their face was smeared by the governor. Meanwhile, the younger generation of Papua supports law enforcement, so that Lukas will come to Jakarta and be held accountable for his actions.
During his time as the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe was known as a friendly person and liked to help residents, especially providing scholarships to them. But suddenly the people of Bumi Cenderawasih were disappointed with his actions, which had the heart to corrupt up to trillions of rupiah. Moreover, Lukas continues to hide in his house and continues to be absent from the KPK’s summons.
The younger generation of Papua wants Lukas to be manly and comply with the ongoing legal process. Young Papuan leader, Steve Mara, expressed his support for the KPK to legally process Lukas Enembe. Steve also appealed to the Papuan people to support the KPK.
Lukas Enembe became a conversation not only in Papua, but also throughout Indonesia. When he was named a suspect in a corruption and gratification case worth 2 trillion rupiah, he continued to dodge on the grounds that he had a stroke and heart problems. If he is indeed innocent, why should he be afraid to come to the KPK building? Instead, his actions are suspicious and make people angry.
The younger generation of Papua is very disappointed with the behavior of Lukas Enembe who is not a gentleman . How can he claim to be sick but have time to invite reporters to check on his condition, which looks fine? Of course, the pain is just an excuse to avoid the KPK’s summons.
Law enforcement against Luke must be done immediately so that this case is quickly resolved. The Papuan people want Lukas to be held accountable for his mistakes. If he continues to be absent from the KPK’s summons, the KPK can forcibly pick him up to be brought to Jakarta.
Meanwhile, Papuan Religious Leader Ismail Asso invites the public to support law enforcement against Governor Lukas Enembe. All Papuans, government employees and others supported the KPK in processing and arresting Lukas.
The whole community is getting more and more angry because Lukas has not come to the KPK building to conduct an examination. When he admits he is sick, it is just an old story, because there are many corruptors who claim to be sick in order to gain public sympathy. Logically, if he had a severe stroke, why was he still able to answer the phone and communicate with his legal team?
Moreover, the lawyer, Stevanus Roy Rening, actually played victim and accused a conspiracy behind the Luke Enembe case. Even though this is purely a case of corruption and gratification, and there is no political purpose behind it. Stevanus don’t confuse the situation and make people wonder.
Lukas has been proven to be corrupt because when his account was checked, it contained tens of billions of rupiah. Even though his monthly salary is not up to 15 million rupiah. It is clear that he is corrupt and steals people’s money, because if his salary is collected for 5 years in office, it will not reach billions of rupiah.
Then, Stevanus also reasoned that Lukas was already rich before he was appointed Governor of Papua, so it is natural to have billions of rupiah in money. The proof is that he owns a gold mine in Papua. In fact, the community around the mine flatly refused, and the gold mine did not belong to Luke personally.
Law enforcement against Luke must be done as soon as possible, because there is already a lot of evidence and witnesses. The KPK has been investigating this case since 2017. There is also evidence in the form of CCTV video footage, when Lukas gambled at a casino. Lukas also has an account at the casino that contains 560 billion rupiah.
The evidence and witnesses were sufficient to sway Lukas and he had to be sincere if he was named a suspect. Instead of making propaganda and influencing the people and their innocent supporters. The proof is, when there was a demonstration defending Lukas Enembe, it turned out that they were paid protesters and were given an envelope containing 300,000 rupiah.
Currently, the conditions around Lukas Enembe’s house are still heating up. The authorities continued to carry out patrols to secure him, because there was a group of unscrupulous residents who supported Lukas. They are on guard if Luke will be picked up and arrested by the KPK.
It’s sad that there are people who want to stand guard around Lukas Enembe’s house, even carrying traditional weapons. They should be angry when the governor has massive corruption. Instead of defending him, because they were harmed by the corruption and gratification carried out by Luke.
The younger generation of Papua also fully supports the KPK in carrying out the legal process against Lukas Enembe, in the fairest way possible. Although Luke was a governor, he was not above the law. The rules are not like that, because the law is not sharp down but blunt up. Luke is an Indonesian citizen who must obey the law, because Indonesia is a state of law.
