Bali — Presenting the closing of the IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022 event in a very grand way and not inferior to the opening, which also featured a lot of typical Indonesian culture wrapped in modern art in the eyes of the world, PB ESI’s performance was considered extraordinary.

President of the International Esports Federation (IESF), Vlad Marinescu acknowledged that the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14Th World Esports Championships 2022 was an extraordinary event that was successfully organized by the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PB ESI).

In fact, he said that the entire esports family also felt very enthusiastic about coming to Bali.

“The 14th Esports World Championship in 2022 which is currently being held in Bali is extraordinary. All Esports families in the world are very enthusiastic about coming to Bali to take part in this event,” said Vlad.

Meanwhile, appreciation also came from the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI), Zainudin Amali, who admitted that PB ESI under the leadership of Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan had succeeded in holding this extraordinary event.

“I think this is an extraordinary event. I thank and appreciate PB ESI for organizing this event,” he said.

On the other hand, the PB ESI Daily Chairperson, Bambang Sunarwibowo explained that the success of holding the world esports championship was also very effective in continuing to encourage the promotion of Indonesian culture on the world stage.

“Esport is able to become a sports industry that encourages the promotion of culture on the world stage. Esport can open wide career paths with intelligence, agility, and integrity. What’s extraordinary is that there are 180 million gamers in Indonesia,” he said.

With the effectiveness of esports in promoting Nusantara culture in the eyes of the world, the steps initiated by Budi Gunawan to build a sports tourism ecosystem through the IESF Bali 14Th WEC 2022 can be said to be very successful.

The closing event was also designed to be no less festive than the opening on Friday (2/12). Where each event segment displays something unique and interesting.

Furthermore, when he learned that the biggest outdoor esports event was a huge success, Bambang Sunarwibowo has even greater optimism going forward.

“The holding of the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14th World Esports Championships 2022 is one of the most important agendas of PB ESI this year. PB ESI is optimistic that the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14th World Esports Championships will become a strong foundation for Indonesia in the future as one of the centers and barometers of world esports,” said the PB ESI Daily Chair.

For information, Indonesia also emerged as the overall champion in the IESF Bali 14Th WEC championship. In this case, Indonesia won 3 (three) gold from the DOTA 2, eFootball and MLBB game numbers. Indonesia also won 1 bronze medal presented by the CS:GO Women’s National Team.
