Face-to-face learning (PTM) has started again in recent months. Students and teaching staff are also required to apply the strict discipline of Prokes to succeed PTM while preventing the emergence of new clusters of Covid-19.

The pandemic has changed our lives drastically and finally a stay at home policy was imposed. Children are also homeschooled, moreover they have not received vaccinations because the majority are 12 years old and under. So for over a year, still learning remotely via Zoom.

For about a month, the curve of Corona patients has decreased and the situation is stable, many areas have the status of a green zone. This situation led to an easing of rules so that children could go to school offline as usual. They are also happy because they miss the teachers and their friends very much.

However, PTM can be a disaster when many are not disciplined in implementing health protocols. In Buleleng Regency, Bali, the Covid-19 Task Force Team found teachers and students who did not comply with health protocols during PTM. The distance between students is close and their masks are removed, as is the teacher who takes down the masks.

The Deputy Chair of the Buleleng Covid-19 Handling Task Force as well as the Head of the Resort Police, AKBP Adrian Pramudianto, immediately reprimanded teachers and students who were negligent in implementing health protocols. They quickly put it back on and promised not to do it again.

Meanwhile, in West Java, there was a 20% increase in Corona cases. This is very strange because previously the number of Covid patients continued to decline. After investigation, it turned out that the cause was PTM, which could have been held without heeding health protocols.

Indiscipline in complying with health protocols is very unfortunate, especially for those who hold the status of teachers. Teachers should set an example by wearing masks and other health programs, because teachers must be nurtured and imitated. But when they take off the masks, the students automatically take them off too, it’s really sad.

Don’t let PTM become a disaster because it increases the number of Corona patients in Indonesia. Because if later there is an increase in cases, then it can level up again to PPKM level 4 and the red zone, so schools have to be closed. The students also bite their fingers because they are bored with online school, and it’s all because of their own fault for being lazy to wear masks.

We are still obliged to obey health protocols during PTM, of course also at home. The reason is because there is a threat of a third wave of Corona attacks, which are predicted by epidemiologists, at the end of 2021 or early 2022. Rather than languishing because of Corona, it is better to be disciplined in wearing masks and implementing other points in Prokes.

During PTM, what must be done is wearing a mask and cannot be removed, both in class and in the teacher’s office. In fact, it is recommended to wear double masks, namely cloth masks and disposable masks, to increase air filtration power.

In addition, students are required to keep their distance while in class, therefore the maximum capacity is only 50%. So that face-to-face learning is a maximum of 3 times a week, because the entry takes turns. Students and teachers are also required to wash their hands in the space provided and provide hand sanitizer. They also shouldn’t be in groups like they used to be, before the pandemic.

When PTM begins to be practiced in many schools, it must be accompanied by discipline in implementing health protocols, such as wearing masks, washing hands or using hand sanitizers, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds. The ceremony is temporarily closed so that there are no crowds and teachers and students must be equally disciplined in implementing Prokes.
