Students have an important role in advancing Papua within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. With the active role of students in developing Papua, it is hoped that the acceleration of development in Papua will soon be realized.

Students are different from students even though they both learn. If students only study and do homework, students besides studying in the library are also active in organizing as a provision before entering the world of work. Students are also expected to advance their area because on average they are nomads, because they study in other cities or islands.

Imran Coton, a socio-political observer, stated that students play an important role in advancing Papua within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. According to him, if a student has graduated, he is expected to be able to return to his hometown and develop his own area. In a sense, do not even enjoy being overseas and then forgetting his promise to build Papua after becoming a scholar.

Moreover, if these students study with special autonomy funds, it is hoped that they can return the favor by returning to Papua and developing the region as well as possible. The way to build it can be by applying for a job as an ASN and being determined to reform the bureaucracy, and create order in Papua so that everyone obeys the administration.

The sons of Papua can also develop by becoming entrepreneurs and working with local governments to accelerate infrastructure development. That way, modernization in Papua will be realized quickly because indigenous Papuans contribute and contribute fresh ideas.

In addition, if these scholars are not civil servants or entrepreneurs, then they can advance Papua through education. You can do this by providing training or short courses, so that the people on Earth of Cendrawasih are getting smarter. For example, they can hold workshops on online marketing techniques so that traders can spread their wings in cyberspace.

Imran Coton added that the expansion of the Papua region could also increase the opportunities for scholars, because in a new province, of course, administrative staff are needed. They have a great chance of being appointed as ASN in the provincial government office. So, returning to Papua after graduation is the best choice.

Of course, being an ASN is a good job because you get a sufficient salary and pension when you retire. It is not certain that the scholar can become an ASN if he does not return to his hometown. So do not hesitate to return to Papua after wandering. They will get a good paying job as well as be able to build their own territory.

There are many job opportunities in Papua and West Papua, so scholars don’t have to worry about running out of career opportunities in their own villages. Indeed, the atmosphere is different in the overseas, but who else will advance the Earth of Cendrawasih if not the native Papuans themselves? The Papuan people need progress and that is on the shoulders of the students.

Students who will become undergraduates, when they return home, do not only bring diplomas, but also knowledge and experience. It is hoped that these two things will stimulate the community so that it will advance Papua. Papuan natives must be filial, not like peanuts forgetting their skin.

Students play a very important role in advancing Papua within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. They can develop their own region and modernize Papua, as well as provide knowledge transfer to the community to be more intelligent and technologically literate. Don’t even be lazy to go home and be too at home in overseas, because the indigenous Papuans still need them.
