The community supports the acceleration of the Revision of the Job Creation Law. It is believed that the improvement of the regulation will be able to provide legal certainty to investors to develop their business.

The Job Creation Law was made in 2020 and its birth is highly anticipated by the public because it is considered capable of simplifying hyper-regulation. Regarding the rejection of a handful of people, President Jokowi advised that if there are parties who do not agree, they can immediately file a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK). Finally, the Constitutional Court decided to revise this law and the deadline was 2 years.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto stated that the revision of the Job Creation Law was still waiting for the ratification of the amendment to Law Number 12 of 2011 concerning the formation of legislation. What was revised was to incorporate the Omnibus Law method into the Act.

In a sense, the government is serious about working on the revision of the Job Creation Law and later when the results of the revision appear, this law will be even better. We are optimistic that within 2 years, the revision will be completed and there will be no more people suing because they don’t like the content. The revision will make this law even better and when implemented it will be very beneficial for the people.

Even though it is in the revision phase, we don’t have to worry because this law is still in effect. So investors can safely invest in Indonesia because it has a strong legal umbrella. They are optimistic about investing in this country because there is a Job Creation Law which guarantees security, plus a guarantee from President Jokowi.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani stated that the Job Creation Law was very important for structural reforms. These reforms are important for the improvement of the Indonesian economy after being affected by the pandemic.

This means, when all parties are enthusiastic about building the economy and improving the economy after the pandemic, all programs must be facilitated with the Job Creation Law.

Sri Mulyani added that structural reforms through the Job Creation Law should not be delayed. The goal is to strengthen Indonesia’s economic foundation in the midst of the difficult situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the heating up world geopolitical conditions. As is known, currently the pandemic is not over but the political situation is heating up due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Don’t let a new presidential law or regulation be hindered by complicated regulations. Even though everything needs to be done quickly because it is driven by the unstable global situation. If regulations and bureaucracy are made easier thanks to the Job Creation Law, we are optimistic that we will rise during the pandemic and not be too affected by world political conditions.

Structural reforms must be implemented to address fundamental issues such as strengthening the quality of human resources, ease of doing business, downstreaming and economic transformation. All this is done for a better future. The Job Creation Law was created so that there are structural reforms so that we can become a developed nation.

If there is a revision of the Job Creation Law, it is hoped that the articles will be even better and also pro-people, considering that the initial mission of the establishment of this Law was to prosper the community. We are optimistic that the revision will be completed quickly and in accordance with the deadline given by the Constitutional Court.

The Revision of the Job Creation Law was given a period of 2 years by the Constitutional Court. However, everyone, especially investors, need not worry because this law is still in effect and is the legal umbrella for foreign investment in Indonesia. The results of the revision of the Job Creation Law are still pending and will be pro-people.
