The persistence of the Covid-19 virus has made the government issue several strategies to deal with it. Among other things by appealing to all levels of society to maintain health and hygiene, and to obey the rules of the CBDR. Implementation in order to make everyone obey it, assisted by TNI and police personnel.

When the Covid-19 pandemic had not yet passed, the government used several magic tricks so that this deadly disease could be quickly dealt with. Among them by creating a new hospital specifically for Corona patients, providing PPE assistance and medical equipment, giving intensive to health workers, and the community is also obliged to obey the rules of PSBB, stay at home, school from home, and work from home. We must follow it, because all of this is made for the sake of safety and health together.

But unfortunately there are still individuals who are stubborn and underestimate Corona. They ignored the PSBB rules and were determined to travel outside the city, even though there was no urgent need, for example to see a family who was seriously ill or died. When outside the house, also not wearing a mask and still hanging out in a coffee shop while joking with friends.

If it continues like this, how long will the pandemic end? People who do not want to obey the rules must be disciplined and for this, assistance from the TNI and police is needed. The deployment of these troops began on May 26, 2020 and was instructed directly by President Joko Widodo. There are 4 provinces and 25 districts and cities that are targeted for deployment.

Why do you need help from TNI and police forces? Because they are indeed tasked with protecting the people and also must remind them to obey the rules made by the government. If there are people who are still stubborn, for example the owner of a shopping center that closes the front of the shop but the buyers are lined up through the back door, then it will immediately be dissolved by the police. People will certainly be reluctant, then give up again.

The implementation of the PSBB can also be more controlled if there is supervision from the National Police. The authorities always secure the major roads and also the borders between cities, villages and provinces, even near the toll road. They conduct raids, do not let anyone escape to return home or return to the capital. If there is no guard, it is feared that vehicle flows will surge and will increase the potential for the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Especially if they come from the red zone.

If they have been caught by the National Police, then these people must be willing to be fined with a hefty nominal, or be willing to tow the vehicle. They were also told to turn around and return home. This is not a cruel act, but regulations made to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus that can be obtained from the streets.

Previously, the TNI troops were also on guard at the border between countries so that no one would enter Indonesia illegally, because it also had the potential to bring the Covid-19 virus from its place of origin. The TNI also successfully brought Indonesians from Wuhan to the Natuna Islands and trained and accompanied them during quarantine. The Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto was also accompanied by them, while taking PPE assistance and medical devices from the People’s Republic of China.

The decline of the Indonesian national army and police to deal with Corona does not mean that the government is cruel and authoritarian. But they instead help the community to live in discipline, so they can live by keeping a distance to avoid the spread of Corona disease. Obey the rules that have been issued by the government so that the Covid-19 virus leaves the country immediately.
