Indonesia is still in a pandemic era but there is good news sticking out to the public. The handling of corona in our country is better than the world average. This is the result of hard work from the government, the covid handling task force team, and health workers. The public is also obliged to adhere to protocols so that the pandemic will end soon.

Indonesia is not yet a corona-free country but there is a breath of fresh air brought by the covid handling task force team. According to Doctor Wiku Adisasmito, team spokesman, the handling of the corona pandemic in Indonesia is above the world average. If in the world there are 24.23% of active cases, then in Indonesia there are only 14.9%.

There are 60,596 cases of covid in Indonesia and when compared to the population in Indonesia which reaches more than 200 million people, the number feels very small. In addition, the number of recovered corona patients also exceeds the world average. In our country, recovery reached 81.6%. Meanwhile, the world average is 73.12%.

The improvement in the recovery of covid patients and the handling of corona in Indonesia is the result of the hard work of various parties. Starting from the central and local governments, the covid handling task force team, doctors and other health workers, and the community. This cooperation has yielded sweet results, so we are optimistic that the pandemic will end soon.

At the beginning of the pandemic, in March and April 2020, the government tried hard to prevent the transmission of corona by enforcing several regulations. That is, people have to stay at home. Work and school at home only. After the adaptation phase of a new habit, then it is possible to work outside the home. Provided it complies with health protocols.

Community participation is very important to help the government and the task force team in dealing with the spread of corona. If there is a health protocol socialization, then don’t violate it. Remember to wear masks for the health of yourself and your family. Not for fear of being raided by security forces on the road and then fined 150,000 rupiah.

In addition, the community needs to be orderly to avoid crowds. Don’t shop in busy markets or malls. If you have to, come in the morning when the place just opens, because it’s still relatively quiet. It would be even better if you shop for vegetables and groceries through an online shop, thus reducing contact with many people.

Do not approach crowds such as places to eat. Indeed, a shop that was reopened after the adaptation phase of a new habit must comply with the protocol. That is, the maximum capacity for visitors is 50% and there must be chairs and tables spaced apart. However, there are some who are stubborn and their customers are crowded together as usual. Don’t be desperate to dine in or if you have to, just wrap it.

Don’t also deliberately make a crowd like a wedding or other celebration, for fear of creating a new corona cluster. According to the regulations, a wedding ceremony can only invite a maximum of 30 people, including family. So it is advisable to do a marriage contract or blessing only and not a reception in the building as usual.

All of these rules are very tiring but understand that health protocols are made for the safety of the people. Don’t even deliberately violate it, even assume that the corona does not exist. The proof is that there are those who died from the covid-19 virus with or without comorbidities. Make sure you are orderly for your own health.

Let us help the government to continue to comply with health protocols, maintain immunity and hygiene. If all circles of society are disciplined and don’t remove masks, then the corona will stop spreading and we can all be free to do activities as usual. Because the pandemic period is over.
