The spirit of Indonesian Independence Day combined with the 2018 Asian Games Festival
CIDISS. This year’s Republic of Indonesia’s 73rd Independence Day celebration was special. Because, a day later, on August 18, 2018, there will be an opening of the sporting events of Asian countries, 2018 Asian Games.
Even more excitement is felt in the capital city of DKI Jakarta, which is one of the hosts of the biggest sports party in Asia. Moreover, the last time Indonesia hosted the Asian Games was in 1962, 56 years ago. Almost in all corners of the capital, also in regions in the country, the Red and White flag was seen flying between the banners and the posters of the 18th Asian Games.
In Jakarta, residents welcomed the arrival of the Asian Games torch, one of which was from India, the first country to hold an Asian Games. The fire from India was then taken by plane to Yogyakarta, united with an eternal fire from Merapen, Central Java at Prambanan Temple. The Asian Games torch was then taken relay to 53 cities in 18 provinces in Indonesia.
Students and residents lined the streets to witness the arrival of the 2018 Asian Games flame torch. Not a few of them dressed and dressed in special clothes.
The city of Jakarta has also improved. All are decorated with lights, arches with sports-themed posters and signposts, Asian Games murals, and walks with stunning colorful paints. Not to forget the artists and artists. They have prepared themselves for the biggest sports party in Asia.
The solo choreographer from Solo, Eko Supriyanto, said he had the task of choreographing 1,600 dancers, out of a total of 4,000 dancers who took part in the opening ceremony of the Asian Games later.
For the sake of realizing a spectacular performance at the opening of the Asian Games the dancers practiced intensively and tirelessly. Former world artist choreographer, Madonna has been training since April.
The Asian Games which were held this year in Indonesia, are not just ordinary events. This grand agenda is at the same time an opportunity and opportunity for RI to show off to the world.
All eyes of the world will lead to Indonesia during the Asian Games. No wonder President Joko Widodo invites all people to succeed in the 2018 Asian Games and 2018 Asian Games. Jokowi wants Indonesia to be a good host.
Jokowi reminded that the Asian Games event was a golden opportunity for Indonesia, to again amaze the world with its excellence and achievements. Jokowi also expressed his readiness to fully support the athletes to fly the Red and White flag on the championship podium.
Jokowi said, hosting the Asian Games class was a matter of pride for Indonesia. We will host contingents from 45 countries, involving more than 11 thousand athletes and 5,500 officials, the largest in the history of the 2018 Asian Games. While the Asian Para Games will bring more than 5,000 contingent members.
Hopefully the Indonesian people will not waste this opportunity. Because, hosting an Asian Games or Asian Para Games is not easy. Indonesia itself has been waiting for 56 years to be able to host the 2018 Asian Games. So that the success of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games is shared responsibility
