Central Kalimantan Province is categorized as fewer vehicles in Indonesia

Jakarta as Capital City of Indonesia is crowded by vehicle; in contrast Central Kalimantan is fewer vehicles than Jakarta.

CIDISS – Vehicle is more complex and easy to have it, started from city until to village. Many people had it. But, the number of vehicle in Indonesia is different.

As quote in kata data, Central Kalimantan province is on seventh list in the category for fewer vehicles in Indonesia. The data is measured by ratio the number of vehicle toward the length of road or less than 100 units per kilometer. The data show there are 87.9 vehicles per kilometer in Central Kalimantan province.

Province with number 1 on category fewer vehicle in Indonesia is Maluku Utara. In this region, the average of vehicle is only 11 vehicles per kilometer. Besides central Kalimantan and Maluku Utara, other provinces in this category are Papua, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Maluku, Gorontalo and Sumatera Barat.

The east part of Indonesia and outside of Java Island is dominated on ratio with fewer vehicles. Government effort to increase and built the infrastructure in this area to support the National economic growth. The following is the list of fewer vehicles in Indonesia;

  • Maluku Utara : 11 Vehicle/Kilometer
  • Papua : 48.3 Vehicle /Kilometer
  • Nusa Tenggara Timur : 60.9 Vehicle /Kilometer
  • Maluku : 73.6 Vehicle /Kilometer
  • Gorontalo : 81.3 Vehicle /Kilometer
  • Sumatera Barat : 84.3 Vehicle /Kilometer
  • Kalimantan Tengah : 87.9 Vehicle / Kilometer

In contrast, the provinces with crowded vehicle are DKI Jakarta, DI Yogyarkat, Bali, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Jawa Barat and Jambi. Those provinces are noted as crowded vehicle. DKI Jakarta is on number one list with 2.077 vehicles per kilometer.

The data show the center of economic growth is still in Java islands. The following is the list of crowded vehicles in Indonesia;

  • DKI Jakarta : 21 thousand vehicle/Kilometer
  • DI Yogyakarta : 784.9 vehicle /Kilometer
  • Bali : 503.4 vehicle /Kilometer
  • Jawa Tengah : 431.3 vehicle /Kilometer
  • Jawa Timur : 375.3 vehicle /Kilometer
  • Jawa Barat : 344.6 vehicle /Kilometer
  • Jambi : 302.9 vehicle /Kilometer
