Manado -Decorative fish from North Sulawesi is demand in the ASEAN region. Thailand became export destination for unique and interesting ornamental fish.
“Decorative fish from North Sulawesi are exported to Thailand are increased, indicates that the origin of ornamental fish species demand by Thais,” said Head of Industry and Commerce of North Sulawesi Province, Jenny Karouw in Manado (6/3).
In 2014 there were so many fish are exported to Thailand, which indicates that the model and the shape of the fish make the ornamental fish lovers like them.
“The state revenues also increased by the export of ornamental fish. Ornamental fish enjoyed by Thais because low prices and have a good quality,” he explained.
Factors that cause commodity of marine products are priced quite well in Thailand because shape, color and quality of the fish are assured. North Sulawesi Sea is very rich, so it can become a mainstay of Indonesia to improving the state revenues.
