JAKARTA – The wave of demonstrations and the narrative titled ‘Dark Indonesia’ that took place simultaneously in various regions are considered a systematic effort to form a negative opinion of President Prabowo Subianto’s government.

Intelligence observer Amir Hamzah emphasized that the actions and dissemination of completely baseless and irrelevant issues were not spontaneous movements from the community, but rather part of a structured political agenda.

“The demonstrations that took place in many cities with the same theme in a short time indicate that there was planning. This is not just spontaneity from the community, but there are certain actors who are driving it,” said Amir,

According to Amir, the narrative of ‘Dark Indonesia’ was deliberately created to discredit President Prabowo and open up political opportunities for other figures.

Furthermore, Amir said that this scenario aims to lead public opinion so that the perception arises that the current government is authoritarian.

“There is an attempt to form the opinion that Prabowo is an authoritarian leader, who is anti-criticism. In fact, this is more of a political framing played by certain parties,” he said.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Sugiono emphasized the government’s commitment to continue fighting for social justice and the welfare of the people.

In the 58th UN Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva, he emphasized that under President Prabowo’s leadership, Indonesia will remain steadfast in realizing justice and welfare for the people.

“Indonesia will remain steadfast in advancing its constitutional mandate, namely creating a world order based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice,” said the Foreign Minister.

Sugiono also highlighted the importance of inclusive development policies, such as free nutritious food programs and health services for the community.

“Indonesia emphasizes the importance of the right to development, ensuring that the state manages its natural resources for the welfare of its people,” he said.

On the other hand, Deputy Minister of Religion Romo HR Muhammad Syafi’i expressed optimism for the future of the nation.

“The bright weather today welcomes us in Bandung. Maybe this is a sign that Indonesia’s future will also be bright,” he said.

He emphasized that socio-cultural resilience must be strengthened for the sake of national stability.

“Socio-cultural resilience is built from an awareness of who we are as a nation,” he said.

Therefore, the public should not be easily provoked by dark, baseless narratives.

The government under President Prabowo’s leadership continues to demonstrate a real commitment to realizing justice and prosperity for all Indonesian people. (*)
