IKN as a Form of Equal Development in the Era of President Prabowo
JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto’s government continues to demonstrate a real commitment to structural transformation through the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN).
The Main Expert of the Presidential Communications Office, Prita Laura, stated that the IKN development project has the main objective of creating a better, fairer, and more competitive life for the Indonesian people.
“The goal is to build an increasingly competitive Indonesia and present a more equitable social life. This is the Government’s vision in the development of the IKN, which will also be an example of transformation with the green city concept,” said Prita in her statement.
The application of the green city concept to the IKN is considered an important step in improving the quality of life of the community while also addressing environmental problems.
Jakarta, as the previous capital, has long faced major challenges due to high levels of pollution.
“With the new face of the IKN, we will have an environmentally friendly capital city, which provides a better quality of life with wider green open spaces,” added Prita.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Inter-Institutional Relations Division of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo), Sarman Simanjorang, said that the strategic steps in developing the IKN were a catalyst for equitable development.
According to him, IKN not only creates a new business ecosystem, but also attracts investment that drives economic growth outside Java.
“The development of the IKN will accelerate economic equality throughout Indonesia,” he said.
A similar thing was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi), Akbar Himawan Buchari.
He assessed that the development of the IKN reflects a real national economic transformation, while also supporting the creation of more equitable development.
“This project shows that development is no longer centered in Java, but has reached all corners of the country,” explained Akbar.
Akbar also emphasized the importance of this project in opening up new economic opportunities in various regions.
With widespread development, IKN will not only become a new capital city, but also a center of economic growth that will significantly improve people’s welfare.
The government under President Prabowo’s leadership is optimistic that the development of the IKN will be a symbol of a major change in the development paradigm in Indonesia.
By carrying the principles of environmental friendliness, sustainability, and economic equality, IKN Nusantara is real evidence of a new era of comprehensive and equitable development.
