The rate of economic growth in Indonesia continues to be stable and is far above the world average, even in the midst of difficult economic conditions and the current global uncertainty. Given these facts, the world immediately appreciates and recognizes Indonesia’s success and even hopes that this nation can play even more roles in poverty alleviation efforts in other developing countries.

IMF Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva stated that the economic conditions in the country can be said to be in good condition and also stable. The economy in Indonesia even continues to be maintained even though the world is in the midst of an economic situation full of uncertainty.

In fact, not only is it stable and in good condition, but the economy in the country is not disturbed by all the other world economic upheavals and uncertainties, in which the economic level in Indonesia continues to advance far above the average world economic growth. .

Meanwhile, seeing how good the assessment was expressed by the IMF, the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that indeed the economy in the country is expected to continue to experience growth even reaching 5.1% (percent) in 2018. it’s 2023.

It’s not half-hearted, even the estimate for economic growth in Indonesia will even continue to stabilize at the point of 5% (percent) in 2024.

Of course, seeing the economic development data owned by the country, the International Monetary Fund then has hope for Indonesia. He hopes that Indonesia will be able to participate and play an active role in providing assistance, especially to other developing countries.

It is not without reason that this hope is given to Indonesia, because this country itself has a good and stable economy, but on the other hand, other developing countries really need help because they are the ones who are quite affected by the ongoing world economic uncertainty.

Mainly, the hope given by the IMF to Indonesia is to be able to contribute to efforts to alleviate poverty in other developing countries in the world.

This hope is of course also a concrete form of the high appreciation given by the IMF for the successful management of the economy in this country. It’s not half-hearted, they even say that Indonesia has an important role in the midst of the current world situation which is indeed facing many challenges.

The reason is, with Indonesia’s foreign policy methods, it is clear that this nation is able and continues to be able to establish good relations and communication even with all parties or all countries without exception.

Therefore, with Indonesia’s ability to have strong foreign policy and international diplomacy, including the ownership of good and stable economic management, the position of the Motherland is now very important even in the world and great hopes accompany it so that there is a greater role there is much more that this country can contribute.

On another occasion, a number of activity agendas were attended directly by the Indonesian Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto in the series of the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Japan, where there was a joint meeting with the President of the European Union Commission to continue to discuss strengthening country’s economy.

The meeting discussed how to strengthen various strategic partnerships, which included the IEU negotiations, CEPA, and how to follow up on JETP and the Global Gateway as well as cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

This moment was also used by the Government of Indonesia to convey the development of Green Investment cooperation through the European Investment Bank (EIB), which is known that EIB itself has officially opened their representative office in Jakarta in August 2022.

In addition, it also discussed the issue of deforestation. The Coordinating Minister for Airlangga said that his party really needed to speak directly related to pushing for concrete achievements that would be able to have a direct impact on people in both countries, namely for countries in Europe and Indonesia, especially in the economic field.

Other collaborations are also being discussed in many fields, such as in the automotive, furniture, food and beverage, textile and green products such as wood pellets. With the discussion of this cooperation, of course Indonesia hopes that business actors, especially in the Republic of Korea, will be able to expand investment in the 5 (five) main sectors.

Indeed, the eyes of the world have recently been fixed on Indonesia. Not only because it continues to lead and host various events at the international level, which present a very magnificent show, but the good governance in Indonesia, especially in the economic sector, continues to be praised. Even the country’s economic growth rate was recognized by the IMF.
