Ahead of the 2024 Election, Experts Call Pancasila Capable of Maintaining the Stability of the Dynamics of Political Clashes
Jakarta – The political dynamics that are getting higher ahead of the 2024 Election must really be anticipated by all parties so as not to cause divisions in society. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the Pancasila ideology vaccine so that the integrity of the nation is maintained.
Observer of national and global strategic issues Prof. Imron Cotan revealed that Pancasila had been tested by various clashes of ideologies such as the extreme left and the extreme right, even liberal ideology, and Pancasila succeeded in graduating, graduating summa cum laude.
This was conveyed by Prof. Imron in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) themed “Pancasila: Dynamics and Challenges Faced?” which was held by the Moya Institute at the Gran Melia Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (25/5).
Not only that, Prof. Imron reminded the public to always protect Pancasila from various threats so that Indonesia would not become a failed state.
“If not the nation fails to maintain its flexibility and continues to be battered, hit at any time by divisive politics, the existence of Pancasila is threatened and Indonesia has the potential to become a failed state,” he said.
Then, the former Australian and Chinese Ambassador quoted Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin’s statement urging all parties to leave divisive politics.
Apart from that, Prof. Imron also stressed the appeal of the future presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo so that the presidential candidates do not insult each other.
“If this ‘wisdom’ is also followed by all presidential and vice presidential candidates and other election contestants, then the flexibility of Pancasila in dampening the five-year political dynamics will be maintained,” he said.
He also advised certain groups not to try to test Pancasila’s capabilities. The reason is, Pancasila as the nation’s ideology has been able to moderate all existing differences.
On the same occasion, member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Sidarto Danusubroto emphasized that Indonesia still and continues to need Pancasila as an ideological vaccine to maintain national integrity.
“After the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic is over, the threat of intolerance, radicalism and terrorism (IRT) is also very dangerous. There have been many findings indicating that several institutions and communities are exposed to this threat,” said Sidarto.
In a similar vein, the reform politician and Secretary General of the Gelora Party Mahfudz Sidiq said that Pancasila’s efforts in guarding the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia for 78 years had resulted in great achievements.
“The ideology of Pancasila, the constitution, and the concept of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia have guarded the history of our nation’s journey of life. If calculated from the national awakening of 20 May 1928, 100 years from now will be 2028 and calculated from the Proclamation of Independence, then 100 years from now will be 2045.” he said
Meanwhile, Chairman of the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) Agus Pramusinto said ASN could be neutral in the 2024 elections.
“Because if it doesn’t affect public services in the future. This is one of the challenges faced by Pancasila, where we still often have the potential to be divided because of politics,” he concluded
