Former Prabowo Volunteer in Banten Transfers Full Support to Ganjar Pranowo
BANTEN — Former volunteers from Prabowo Subianto in Banten are now shifting their support and declaring themselves to fully guard Ganjar Pranowo’s victory in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
It is known that the volunteers came from martial arts warriors and village kyai from various areas such as Pandeglang, Lebak, Cilegon, Tangerang, Serang and Banten regencies.
The caretaker of the Halim Al Ittihad Kronjo Tangerang Islamic Boarding School, KH Saefudin, revealed that they really want a regeneration of national leadership.
“We want a regeneration of national leadership, which can more clearly help resolve unemployment and poverty in remote villages in Banten,” he said.
Then, a young figure, Usdan Nasrudin, explained that Banten itself actually has potential for marine tourism, beach tourism, 14 industrial and cultural areas.
However, the problems they have are human resources and poverty and unemployment levels which have not yet been resolved properly.
He then assessed that the figure of Ganjar Pranowo was considered to have great care and concern for the development of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.
Apart from that, the PDI Perjuangan presidential candidate is also easy to accept by various groups and is very qualified to be able to continue development in Indonesia.
“Ganjar’s successful background as Governor of Central Java is an important asset to run for president,” said Usdan Nasrudin.
Previously, volunteers supporting Prabowo Subianto in South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) in the 2019 General Election (Pemilu) also withdrew their support and switched to supporting Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Election.
Coordinator of the 2024 Ganjar Pranowo Declaration, Muhammad Wahyu, emphasized the declaration of the transition of support.
“We previously supported Prabowo in the 2019 presidential election. But now we officially support Ganjar Pranowo to run in the 2024 presidential election,” he stressed.
Not without reason, they have now switched to supporting the figure of the white-haired leader because they consider that his figure is capable of completing inter-district infrastructure so that the villages can continue to have open road access.
“It can open up new job opportunities for millennials and mothers who need good health and nutrition services for toddlers. “Modern education is integrated, education costs are cheap and affordable,” said Wahyu.
Meanwhile, the President of Palembang Student Park, Yosua Reynaldi Sirait, also admitted that his party was very optimistic that the figure of Ganjar Pranowo would be able to have a big influence on South Sumatra’s progress.
“This includes opening up employment opportunities as widely as possible and evenly,” he said.
Support for the leader born in Karanganyar Regency continues to spread even from many groups, including factory workers.
General Manager of PT C-Site Texpia, M. Nugi, revealed that workers really want someone who is good at acting and working.
“Because the workers here are not only good at talking, but what is important is that Mr Ganjar is smart at acting and working,” he said.
