From grassroots to PPP elites agree to carry Ganjar Pranowo as presidential candidate for 2024
Yogyakarta – Plt. PPP Chairman Muhammad Mardiono announced that his party had officially decided to nominate Ganjar Pranowo as the 2024 Presidential Candidate.
“After going through deliberations and in-depth discussions, PPP has decided on Ganjar Pranowo as the Indonesian presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 elections,” said Mardiono.
The United Development Party (PPP) has held a national leadership meeting (Rapimnas) V in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Tuesday (25/4). During the meeting, PPP agreed to fully support Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election.
Mardiono said that the support of Ganjar Pranowo had gone through an agreement and a decision by the Rapimnas V Party, which meant that it became the official and legal vote of PPP.
According to him, the choice was made on the basis that PPP wanted to continue its political support for Ganjar, so that it could continue its leadership from 2024 to 2029. PPP views Ganjar as a leader who can continue the sustainability of the nation’s program, which was initiated by President Joko Widodo.
“Ganjar Pranowo is no stranger because a populist leader often goes down to meet the people directly,” said Mardiono, Wednesday (26/04)
In addition, Ganjar Pranowo is a leader figure who is close to Islamic boarding schools and religious circles. In addition, it is evident that under Ganjar Pranowo’s leadership, Central Java has become a region that is rapidly advancing and innovative.
“I believe that with the spirit of Pancasila, Ganjar Pranowo, it can unify the diverse Indonesian nation,” he said.
Previously, Mardiono revealed that the figure of Ganjar Pranowo was indeed part of the PPP extended family, where PPP was also involved in carrying Ganjar in the 2018 Central Java gubernatorial election.
“Mr. Ganjar is like a big PPP family because so far in Central Java he has teamed up with PPP and in the past when we teamed up with Pak Ganjar Pranowo it was the result of istiqoroh from our late teacher,” he said.
Mardiono also mentioned that there were indeed many party grassroots who over the past few months declared Ganjar as the 2024 presidential candidate.
