The name of the 2024 presidential candidate from PDIP cadres, Ganjar Pranowo continues to excel in many survey results conducted by various institutions and also for many periods of time. Of course, this is not without reason, because many Indonesian people tend to believe and choose themselves as the figure who is considered the most capable of continuing President Jokowi’s development program.
The Kompas Research and Development Survey in the May 2023 edition shows that the electability of the 2024 presidential candidate (Presidential candidate) Ganjar Pranowo was able to outperform in a simulation of 3 (three) presidential candidates. It is known that the survey has a margin of error of approximately 3% (percent).
It is undeniable that the electoral rating of the Governor of Central Java (Central Java) continues to be the highest at the moment when compared or contested with the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto and also former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
In this simulation, the name Ganjar Pranowo was chosen by 40% (percent) of respondents, while Prabowo Subianto was chosen by around 36.8% (percent), while Anies Baswedan only received support from 23.2% (percent) of respondents. Therefore, in reading the results of this survey, Kompas Research and Development Researcher Bambang Setiawan explained that of course with these results it can be said that the Presidential Candidates from the Cadres of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and Ketum Gerindra will qualify for the second round if there is a general election (Pemilu) currently implemented.
So far, the name Prabowo Subianto has not been able to surpass the electability level of Ganjar Pranowo in the simulation of the 3 (three) presidential candidates. Not without reason, it turns out that the previous voters, namely in 2019 and then voted for the Gerindra Chairperson with Sandiaga Uno in the 2019 Presidential Election (Pilpres), in fact, their votes were divided and there were some who then turned to support Anies Baswedan.
For information, in the Kompas R & D survey regarding the simulation of the 3 presidential candidates, there were 1,049 respondents, all of whose votes were collected from April 29 2023 to May 10 2023. The entire survey was conducted face-to-face, which involved 1,200 respondents.
Then the respondents themselves were randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method in as many as 38 provinces in Indonesia. The method used has a confidence level of up to 95% (percent) and the margin of error is only around 2.83% (percent).
Meanwhile, it is not only the survey results from Kompas Research and Development that state that Ganjar Pranowo’s name is always at the top, but there are also survey results conducted by the Indonesian Political Indicator Survey Institute which try to assess the electability level of the presidential candidates. Bacapres) at the democratic party of the upcoming 2024 election political contest.
The results of the survey show that the electability of the Governor of Central Java was even able to excel in a simulation involving 19 names in the presidential candidate exchange. The survey was conducted in the period April 30 2023 to May 5 2023, namely after the PDI-P declared the name Ganjar Pranowo as their presidential candidate.
The results show that the name of the PDIP cadre is indeed still in the highest order, namely pocketing as much as 29.3% (percent) of the votes, followed by Prabowo Subianto with 24.2% (percent) of the votes and then in third place is Anies Baswedan who only has 15% (percent) of the vote only.
Regarding the results of the survey which compared up to 19 names, the Main Researcher for Indicators, Burhanuddin Muhtadi explained that Ganjar Pranowo experienced an electability rebound or an upward trend after he was officially declared by Megawati Soekarnoputri as the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PDI Perjuangan.
On another occasion, the electability score of the man who is identical with white hair continues to record his superiority when compared to other presidential candidates. In the 3 (three) name simulation conducted by the Charta Politika Indonesia agency, the electoral value owned by the Governor of Central Java reached 36.6% (percent).
Charta Politika Indonesia researcher, Ardha Ranadireksa then stated that the electability trend of Ganjar Pranowo has indeed continued to increase over time, especially after he was officially given the mandate and appointed by PDIP to advance to the contest stage for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
Indeed, many surveys have shown that the electability score of the 2024 presidential candidate for PDIP cadres, Ganjar Pranowo, continues to outperform other names, even including superior to the names Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan. This certainly shows that until now most Indonesian people tend to anchor their choice to the Governor of Central Java for 2 (two) periods because he is indeed known as a populist and ideological leader and is considered the most capable of continuing all the development programs that have been initiated by the President Jokowi before.
