The Presidential Candidate (Capres) from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Ganjar Pranowo revealed that the millennial generation and also generation Z are indeed potential voters, because they represent up to more than 50% (percent) of the number of voters in a democratic party and political contestation, General Election (Election) in 2024.
For information, Generation Z is the generation born between 1997 and 2012, where they are currently aged 8 to 23 years. Then for the millennial generation itself is the generation born in 1981 to 1996 with their current age range being 24 to 39 years.
Furthermore, the man who also serves as Governor of Central Java (Central Java) explained a recent research result, which revealed that it turns out that the two generations, namely the millennial generation and generation Z, do have different characteristics. Nevertheless, the two generations also have one thing in common, namely they both do not like polemics that occur in the world of politics.
The two generations, both the millennial generation and generation Z, don’t always like noisy politics, and they also don’t want to get too involved with big issues, but they are actually still willing to be invited to dialogue and also have an egalitarian character. which is strong enough.
Knowing how willing the millennial generation and generation Z are to be invited to dialogue, Ganjar Pranowo explained that dialogue is indeed a very important thing to do, especially dialogue with tolerant themes and can also continue to provide space for the two generations. to be on the same frequency and on the same stage.
From the results of the latest research, this leader who is known to be very innovative and creative will continue to put forward various appropriate strategies to be able to approach the millennial generation and generation Z.
One of the right approaches or strategies that he takes is to continue to utilize digital space in order to continue to campaign for the values he will fight for. Because basically, if the approach taken to the two generations is just through face-to-face meetings, it is still not enough even though direct meetings are also very important because they are able to foster a different emotional bonding atmosphere.
Although having face-to-face meetings is also very important, which is a conventional political campaign strategy, according to Ganjar Pranowo, it is no less important to have a strategy through ‘air attacks’ or optimal utilization of digital space.
Meanwhile, the figure of the presidential candidate who is carried by the party bearing the logo of a bull with a white muzzle has also won several Government Awards that have named him an Indonesian Innovative Leader or an innovative leader in Indonesia.
