Hundreds of Indonesian citizens supporting the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo were seen filling the Capitol Hill area, Washington, declaring their support for this presidential candidate from the PDI-P.
According to them, Ganjar was called the most qualified presidential candidate to continue the development that had been carried out by President Joko Widodo.
“We realize that one of the factors causing the slowness of our nation and country to become a developed country is the discontinuity of development,” said the Coordinator of the Jokowi DC Center for Ganjar, Yohanes Wahyudi at the reading of the declaration of support which was held on Tuesday (13/6) at 12.00 noon American time.
The declaration added: “We assess that the development that has been carried out by President Joko Widodo during his two terms of leadership has been in the right direction. That’s why we need to elect a leader who will continue this development.”
It is known that in the 2019 election, Jokowi won a landslide victory in the constituency of Washington DC and its surroundings by winning 1113 votes, while Prabowo only won 352 votes. Supporters of the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo in Washington hope that the 54-year-old presidential candidate will also win a landslide victory in the 2024 elections.
