President Joko Widodo or Jokowi stated that he had conveyed several suggestions or advice to the prospective PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.
Jokowi emphasized that as a leader, Ganjar must have courage and guts. In his opinion, courage is needed not only to handle national government, but also to face global challenges, including relations with the European Union.
“For future leaders, like Mr. Ganjar Pranowo, the most important thing is that guts is number one. Courage is number one,” Jokowi said after the PDIP National Working Meeting III, Monday (6/6/2023).
Jokowi believes that Ganjar has enough courage and guts to become Indonesia’s leader. “Brave and have guts and I see Pak Ganjar has,” he said firmly.
Previously, Jokowi delivered a political speech during the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) III of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) at the Party School, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/6/2023).
After the event, Jokowi admitted that in his speech, he conveyed the nation’s future challenges, especially the potential for global difficulties such as food and energy crises.
“Yes, earlier I was at the PDI Perjuangan National Working Meeting conveying about the challenges faced by our country, especially in the global difficulties that I have often conveyed, both related to the food crisis, energy crisis, financial crisis and the existence of war,” said Jokowi.
Jokowi was accompanied by PDIP Ketum Megawati Soekarnoputri, PDIP DPP Chair Prananda Prabowo and Puan Maharano, and Bacapres 2024 Ganjar Pranowo at the press conference.
Jokowi said that the challenges ahead must be known together so that PDIP can prepare anticipation for crises when managing the country.
“I think we should be aware of challenges like that together,” Jokowi said ahead of the 2024 election.
