Legitimate, PPP is the first and oldest Islamic party to support Ganjar Pranowo as the 2024 presidential candidate
Yogyakarta – The United Development Party (PPP) became the first Islamic party to declare Ganjar Pranowo as a 2024 Presidential Candidate. This was conveyed directly by PPP General Secretary Muhammad Mardiono at the People’s Market event which was held in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (26/4)
“By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, PPP has decided on Haji Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate for the Republic of Indonesia in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election,” he said
Mardiono continued that the decision of the PPP DPP was the result of the Fifth National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) of the PPP DPP. According to him, there are various reasons why the party with the Kaaba symbol has appointed Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate.
“PPP wants to continue political support for Ganjar Pranowo in his candidacy for President of the Republic of Indonesia to continue the 2024 and 2029 leadership relay.” he said
Apart from that, PPP also wants to entrust the politics of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar to Ganjar Pranowo because they want this paradigm to be applied at the country’s political level in the future.
Ganjar Pranowo, added Mardiono, also cannot be separated from PPP, who generally come from religious families.
“Historically, Ganjar Pranowo cannot be separated from PPP because his father-in-law is a cadre of PPP. Furthermore, his brother-in-law currently serves as Chair of the DPC PPP Purbalingga, “explained Mardiono.
Therefore, PPP considered that with the background and family culture that came from Nahdlatul Ulama, Ganjar was considered to have almost the same vision as PPP.
Furthermore, Mardiono revealed that Ganjar was a person with strong integrity. Thus, Ganjar is very worthy to occupy the position of leader of the nation
“Support for electability as a politician has been proven from various surveys to have occupied the top position when compared to other figures,” he added
Based on these various considerations, PPP will continue to communicate with many parties to socialize the results of the Rapimnas to the coalition political party elite.
“PPP will also carry out political communication with the Ketum of Political Parties in the United Indonesia Coalition as well as convey the decisions of the Rapimnas to him,” said Muhamad Mardiono.
Previously, the Deputy Head of PPP Arsul Sani had indeed revealed that the name of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, received the most votes from PPP regional administrators.
“Ganjar Pranowo in the Rapimwil or Mukerwil is the most voiced, to be proposed as a presidential candidate,” he said
